No. I've owned (as opposed to tried) several DOD pedals in the past and they've served me well. Although the switch and battery cover are still the weakest links in their line of pedals, I don't think that they're inferior from a tone perspective. Those who whine about having to have a different jack for the power supply can just learn how to solder and make a plug for your DOD pedals.

good point about that soldering thing.

mind sharing your DOD pedals here? ... a lot can benefit from it (including me)

The yngwie malmsteen pedal and DOD preamp sound pretty good.

what kind of pickups do you use with your YJM308 peds? single coil or humbucker? preamp daw yang YJM308??!

i use humbuckers with it. i use it as a booster sa mga distortion pedals ko, gives them a good treble kick na hndi buzzy ung sound, of course alalay sa gain lahat and may help ng 10-band eq.

Relax lang bro. :-D

@ferdie
Magkano pakabit ng LED at pa-true bypass bro? Plano ko kasi kumuha uli ng YJM eventually e.

i own a DOD Super American Metal,classic as my peers say. For me, its like a boosted fuzz but it has a bottom endm and sounds organic. Reminiscent of Megadeth in their early days.

Could work for them.  For some signature effects siguro.  I'm sure they have some useful modulations and delays.  Metal X is just.... well... crap.

Makisali nga.

The classic fuzz is said to be the poor man's big muff, with buffered bypass. The DOD delays, ewan ko kung lahat pwede but I'm guessing oo, can be tweaked for self-oscillation and slightly longer delay time but can get very lo-fi and noisy after a few repeats. Not for everyone, but I like it.

Only issue is the footswitch. Meh, no biggie.
