whats a SOLID state amp?
claude, i can be typing here for 2 days and still not quite cover it. just google those keywords (eg, "solid state vs. tube guitar amplifers") and read up as much as you can. at the end of the day you'll find out that solid state amps try to emulate the sound and response of tube amps. a TM60 gets pretty close, IMO.
and wat du u mean by this
"use the amp as a monitor and then use the line out to feed a cab-simmed signal to the board."
by this i meant that you can use the TM60 itself to hear yourself on-stage. at the same time you can make a connection from the back of the amp (line out) to go to the mixing board and PA system. in short, you can go for the tone you want at the volume you like (if your bandmates cooperate), no need to mike your amp, and your audience can hear what you are hearing and vice versa.
