BECK is ELECTRONICA???
« on: June 02, 2003, 09:55:44 PM »
Can Beck be considered as Electronica? As far as I'm concern, his Odalay album is just far out.

It would be great to have local artist,  doing this type of music, in tagalog.

BECK is ELECTRONICA???

His "O De Lay" album was indeed heavy on the electronica. but later albums went back to his serene, folksy, acoustic sound, which i find just as inspiring.

So I wouldn't consider him really electronica, since the majority of what he does is beat poetry/folk/pop/jazz.

If you can find it though, his mp3 "MTV makes me want to smoke crack" which circulates on the p2p networks is a classic. hilarious and surreal and very Beck.

cheers!
