Who's your GUITAR HERO, and why?....=3
« on: July 23, 2010, 08:50:26 PM »
I have and will always admire all the big names such as Gilbert, Satriani, to Malmsteen, EVH, Slash petrucci..etc.. and also the likes of Govan, Thammarat, Guerra and such...but i guess the reason i started playing and loving the guitar is watching that IBY JEM 7wh being manhandled by Steve Vai himself..hehe..yeah so i guess Vai is my GuitarHero...who's yours? :-o :? :-o

Madami eh. Pero nung newbie pa ako sa mga soloing/instrumentals, si Paul Gilbert. Naglaon, Si Guthrie Govan na (fixed) :-D. (Edit) Reason kung bakit si GG? It's because I like his playing style and approach to the guitar.

Don't become obsessed with sounding like one particular player and sounding exactly like him.

I've always admired (I might say "worshiped" but I fear excommunication)...

1. John Petrucci
2. Joe Satriani
3. Paul Gilbert

Lately, I've really been listening to and appreciating the works of Steve Howe, Alex Lifeson, Steve Morse, Guthrie Govan, and Tony MacAlpine! Good stuff!  :-D

Early on my influence was mainly Slash... Now that I've listened to and watched a lot of guitar gods, I think the one that I can connect to and relate most with is Marty Friedman!  :-D
