with regards to ddrum. i am a proud owner of a ddrum diablo punx. its in tantrum color combo which is blue shells over white hardware. it is my first kit so for me im quite happy but theres certain drawbacks though with regards to quality. Yes, the powder coating looks cheap and im quite doubtful on how long it'll stay intact with the metal parts that it coats. theres a few runs on certain areas and these were also addressed on the reviews youll find around the web.
maganda sana yung bass pedal nya. its dual-chain and wide and footboard. my qualm though is again.. the quality. parang plastic yung material na ginamit. tingin ko after a few fiddling with the screws the treads will get loose. tapos yung beater eh quad beater sya modelled after those found in Pearl pero yun nga yung quality. it looks cheap. so yun. pero all in all, magagamit mo sya (atleast nagagawa nya yung intended purpose) at solid din naman ang feel once attached to the kit.
yung stock heads, only thing i can say is that its stock and it sounds stock. its good if youll just replace it with brand new heads.
but what made me choose ddrums over those intermediate kits in jb? killer looks and its price plus it ddrum. its attention grabbing and its well in my budget. The 20"x22" bass drum sound like thunder once its tuned accordingly. Yung snare, for me it gives the right crack and attack to my preferred taste. Sa floor tom naman. i like the one that has the 15"incher on it. it gives good low end. yung 16" di ko pa natry kasi di kasya sa set up ko. maliit ang kwarto kaya tinago ko muna. pero plan ko i convert sya sa bassdrum para meron din akong jungle kit incase i get tired of having big drums hehe but anyways back to my review (if you can call this a review, heck hehehe). i also found a drummer na taga states who recorded their songs using this diablo punx kit. pero note yung snare na ginamit nya eh ludwig na vistalites eto yung link:
