hey bro.

i don't know if it's available sa pinas. nandito kasi ako sa california e.

it is basically taken from the same show, same night. december 8, 2007. at the nokia theatre in LA.

i distinctly remember riding in somebody's car on the freeway right by the nokia theater and seeing the lighted signs for the JM show last year. i remember feeling sorry that i won't be able to watch it--and wishing that he would come out with a  new dvd-concert.

wish granted.

It is a whole new level, different from the "any given thrusday" dvd.

it features one show, with the three different personas of john mayer.

acoustic, blues trio then the full band.

musicianship was superb. people may think he is puro pa-cute lang, pero sa tingin ko inggit lang kayo. he plays better blues than the rest of us, writes better songs....not just the three chord variety, though there's nothing with three chords and the truth.

and here on the dvd he proves that he can pull it off live. with a whole lot of extras.

jennifer anniston is wetting her panties right now while watching the acoustic set on dvd. :-D

his blues trio set on the dvd is superb!

it's like the TRY! cd except more recent and finally put on dvd!

his version of hendrix's "bold as love" here, is the best! i love this song! hendrix wasn't able to play it in front of an audience--as far as i know, but i could be wrong.

taga saan ka soundslikebryan ?

I live in San Francisco. I got my copy from Bestbuy. I haven't watched the DVD yet. I'm saving it for July 4th. I'll watch it with my bandmates.

I listened to the CD. I went straight to the Trio set. Its awesome.

Yeah, Hendrix never had the chance to play Bold as Love live.

when i watch a dvd, paulit ulit ko pinapanood. despite having my bike stolen while i was net surfing in starbucks yesterday..... it didn't dampen my enthusiasm in watching the dvd--kung sino ka man magnanakaw ka sana kainin ka ng tigre! :-D

in the video, john mayer said something about his hands/fingers hurting after the blues trio set and how hard it would have been for him to top his trio performance with the full band set.

tao din pala si idol :-D

hey blues2death, did you just join fil-amusic.com? I'm hwy1bry there.

I watched part of the DVD. Its amazing. I have conflicted feelings about JM performing 'free falling' though. Maybe its just me.

yes man. i did. d masyado ma-action dun e.

about freefalling. i think he did that song merely because the show was in LA..... tom petty's heartbreakers is the epitome of the american west coast sound in rock n roll....

i can understand why you don't like JM's version that much... but i think his take is a lot more laidback though not true to the original version coz he didn't belt out the high notes on the chorus.

I like what he said "Let me first say, how wonderful it feels to know that its 2007 and we just launched into a slow blues and 7000 people in LA went nuts....All is not lost....."

hahaha. yeah!!!!

I just wished he rendered his song Covered in Rain.

US-based forumers need to go to Target to get the 2 CD/1 DVD package for about $25 all together.  I'm not sure why they only packaged it this was especially for the Target stores.
