nice...ano yung trem system at bridge mo dito?

Just re-did my budget plan. I just got a bit crazy since the Mascis goes out of stock a lot from what I've heard. I'm not going for a refin at all but I'm getting a white guard and some black amp knobs. I like how the JM Jaguar looks and I might use that as a peg for the Mascis. Did some reading and it's really not worth the trouble of going to a luthier to have the routes re-done. Maybe I should just invest in a better jack and have someone do the wiring better so it's up to CP spec? I dunno. It's made with cheaper components but if it's okay under the hood I should be fine.

GIVE ME A COUPLE OF MONTHS. PASOK SA BUDGET.

It's the same shape but the route used in "real" Jazzmasters/Jaguars has accomodations for a the trem-loc button para mafix ang bridge. I don't have a Jazzmaster on me but I will get back to you on the string spacing.

ON MY WAY THERE.

uy eto din nabili kong pickups from ebay -  na di pa na-iinstall hanggang nagyon. 1 year na!

Finally I have my own...

Custom nga lang, c/o Max Rufo... Kalantas wood!

ganda nito pre. demo naman jan!

i really appreciate customized offset guitars....wala yan sa kung Fender, Squier or RJ pa man yan (iba lang ang d.i.y. attitude and aesthetics ng offset guitars imho) May parts na nga ako for a jaguar project kaso walang budget pambuo...masyado kasing umiikot mundo ko sa OSG at impluwensya ng pagbuo ng sariling gitara...yang si Francis true-offset indie rocker talaga (wala sa pana yan, nasa pumapana...pamatay nga mga demos at albums niya) fan ako niya at pls. suportahan natin banda nya. Mga myembro ng Monochrome at Mt. Analogue certified P.O.G.I. mga yan!

Gandy, tutal may dent na yang bagong strat mo..tapyasin na natin at i-relic para mging offset....tama na yang pagka-OC at maalaga, hahahahaha!!!  :-D balitaan mo ako kelan yang plano mong icheck yung jag AVRI from PGT  :-D

yung sa trem plate ba? I think I read somewhere na mas makipot yung mga butas sa import/mij version kesa sa american version. I don't think they're 100% parallel even on the AVRI. ok lang yan, wala naman atang diperensya :)

Yeah, I'm guessing stocks of the Mascis will stabilize by March/April after all the initial excitement sort of dies down. Looking at some teardown pics of the squier mascis online, it looks like they used decent electronic components (open switch and alpha pots), so unless anything breaks down, I don't think you'd need to change anything out, unless you want to change pot values.

Yan ang gusto kong marinig.  Hopefully I could get my tax refund check and spend it on that guitar kung sakali.

Yeah, I figured. If I was going to tear everything up under the hood, I should've just gotten a CP. I don't have the money for that so I'll expect to get what I pay for. Btw, links nga para sa teardown plz. :3

Guys, help. I'm trying to see if I could get a cheaper case for the Jazzmaster on Musician's Friend. Do you guys know of any Gator cases that would fit a Jazzmaster? I was thinking a Jazz Bass case might work. What do you guys think?

Hello guys! Any reviews or insights regarding the Squier Jagmaster? I'm leaning on getting one since I've been a lifelong Fender Strat and Tele user and I think an offset beater guitar would be nice. I plan on changing the pickups to Seymour Duncan Phat Cats if I ever do get one.

Thanks! Any comments will be pretty much appreciated.  :-D

It's definitely a beater! Playable and really great if you have plans of modding. Sick_angel14 is selling a modded Squier Jagmaster. I'd get it myself if I didn't already set a Jazzmaster budget. He added Jaguar plates and the Jaguar switching system! Worth it, IMO. If you find a Vista series (says Vista on the headstock where you'd normally find the offset body mark), that's really good too. Manufactured for Squier by Fender Japan before moving operations to China.

The made in Japan Squier Jagmaster Vista have short scale MIJ Fender Jaguar necks. They're so nice to play.

Ace Hardware has rolls of adhesive aluminum tape. The adhesive side is not conductive tho, just make sure you fold the ends so the tops of each piece make contact

been a while, but my BT JM got a new guard makeover recently, still black but no longer warped and looks spankin' new :) :

uy...thanks for listening, haha

Thanks. Not a lot of mods actually, the biggest thing is the additional routing needed to fit a jazzmaster pickup in the bridge position and a switch in the rhythm section area. I initially intended to keep the neck pickup stock but I broke it trying to change the cover :). So both pickups are GFS JM90s; switch is a phase switch; used 500k pots instead of the 1Meg usually used by JMs; changed tuners to vintage style split posts; and a new guard. The mastery came pre-installed :)

Thanks for the info!

How do you find the GFS JM90's?  :)

Swerte mo kasama na pala yung mastery!

Trip ko mods ng sayo, if I had a blacktop JM I would do exactly what you did.  :)

Sakin the only mods I did with my JM was to replace the 1 meg pot to a 250K pot, soldered in a PIO cap and dabbed some clear nail polish on the adjuster screws for the saddles and bridge post to keep them idle instead of moving around. Then I set it up with a high action on the strings to help prevent string jumping. But would love to have a mastery bridge one day..

Yep, swerte talaga, natuwa nga ko na sinama na niya e, haha

The pickups sound pretty good. I'm no tone connoisseur and don't have experience with higher end pickups, but they sound good to me, very fender-y, a little surf-y maybe, just bright and twangy enough for my tastes and having been a 'bucker guy, I didn't find them thin sounding at all (maybe bec of the 500k pots, idk). They handle gain pretty well too. The few demoes on youtube are pretty accurate. I do wish I hadn't broken the stock neck pickup tho, I really like how that one sounded.
