^^

Nakita ko yan last week bro. Ang ganda ng board! Itim na itim. :)

Oo nga eh. Thanks!
It looked way better than expected. And it feels great to play too! It has a kind of Musicman Axis feel to it even though the profile was copied from an MIJ Strat.

Sharing a not-so-simple rewiring job by Sir Mike!

On the surface, it's a straightforward mod from HSS to HSH (pulido as usual):

But I found an interesting schematic on the net using a 4-pole 5-way super switch and a DPDT mini-toggle:

It took a while to troubleshoot, but Sir Mike was able to get the wiring sorted out. Now you can basically switch the guitar from a strat (SSS) to an HH guitar with the mini-toggle:

SSS mode:
position 5 - HB neck split (north coil)
position 4 - HB neck split (north coil) + middle SC
position 3 - middle SC
position 2 - middle SC + HB bridge (south coil)
position 1 - HB bridge (south coil)

HH mode:
position 5 - HB neck
position 4 - HB neck (north coil) + HB bridge (south coil)
position 3 - HB neck + HB bridge
position 2 - HB neck (north coil) + HB bridge (north coil) in series
position 1 - HB bridge

Tone 1 controls the SSS mode, while Tone 2 controls HH (although Tone 2 also controls the bridge in SSS).

It's a very versatile setup for HSH guitars. All you need is a Fender superswitch and a DPDT on-on. Kudos to Sir Mike!

naku baka gayahin configuration nyan yan for the next RJ super Vintage!
Cguro super versatile na yan! I would be great if you keep that pickguard assembly if ever you decide to sell the strat so you can re install that on your next strat type guitar

I haven't gotten enough sleep lately because i always stay up late thanks to this baby :-D
It's a washburn N4 with a Custom neck by team micsis!

I've always loved the N4 but the necks are too thin for my taste. So i had mike Build me a Fat Soft V neck. Stainless Steel Jumbo Frets on a kamagong Fretboard

Side shot of how Fat the neck is

Thumbwheel Truss Rod Adjustment

Badge of honor

Maraming Salamat Mike!!! This project couldn't have been more enjoyable!!!

Ayan na pala Reggie, ganda nyan bro!
hanep ang pagkagawa ng neck at fretboard nyan nung nakita ko kina Mike.. Congrats!
You can't be too careful anymore
When all that is waiting for you
Won't come any closer You've got to reach out a little more, more, PARAMORE!

You'll have to ask him .

But for me, it's a matter of finding a Super Switch (P950 from spankyrigor) and a DPDT on-on toggle switch (P125+). And of course, dapat maganda mag-split yung humbuckers.

nice......looks versatile and at the same time complicated
ang possible problem dito ay yung pag balance ng output ng mga pickups, yung hum cancelling lalo na pag mixed ang mga coilsplits.
what pickups are you using? when you mix coilsplits humcancelling ba?
and make sure you dont accidentally turn the dpdt switch during gigs

The way I play, it's either split all the way (for clean) or humbucker all the way (for distorted) per song, so it works for my style of playing.
In terms of hum-cancelling though, hindi lahat - position 2 has hum (as well as the split/single coils).

The neck pup is a DiMarzio Transition, middle is an Entwistle XS62N, bridge is DiMarzio 36th Anniv.
I highly recommend these humbuckers if you plan on doing coil splitting - they sound loud and full. They're almost as loud as the Entwistle which is plenty hot.

The grains took me for a spin, as I originally wanted a lake placid blue tele.

Mike and I have decided to accentuate the grains instead by giving it a worn kind of look, cream bindings, no control plate, and a smaller than usual pickguard.

sirs this would be my first time to bring my guitar to a luthier. and since malapit lang naman si micsis sa amin e dun ko na dadalhin yung lp ko.

pano ba gagawin dito? pagmagpapasetup ba e do i need to bring guitar strings? pag electronics magdadala din po ba ako ng pots if ever at capacitors?

that really depends if he has the said items/parts in stock or not. Best is to contact Mike first before going there.

Thank you Mike and Team!

Impressive!

Would be sweeter, imho, if the knobs and tip were also cream like the PU covers.
