DLSR camera maintenance and care tips

guys any tips in cleaning / maintenance of your DLSR's...

just keep it sa case or better sa drybox pag di mo gagamitin ng matagal..

I also have a light brush para pantanggal ng alikabok..

then sa lens ko.. yung microfiber Oakley Pouch ko ang pinanglilinis ko hehehe..

don't leave batteries inside if you are not going to use if for a long time.

use a blower to blow dusts before brushing the lens with a very soft brush...

use liquid cleaners made for lenses...

be careful with the kind of cloth you are using to wipe off dirt on your lenses

you can put protective filters on the lenses which are not in use...

keep you gear in dry and safe places

do not try to clean the camera sensor unless you know how to...

don't play with the camera(others show off their camera by shooting continuously just to show the number of frames it can shoot per second  )

keep the strap attached (baka mahulog eh, and hawakan mo ng mahigpit, lalo na uso agawan ng camera sa Manila)

Love your camera... it will make your life meaningful and colorful

this reminds me of someone i once saw shooting a high-rise building.. he's using his drive to shoot at around 4 fps.. i never figured out why..

i use a blower to remove dirt then a micro-fiber cloth to wipe the lens clean.. sometimes i use those pen brushes too..

i never dared to do that on my camera yet though.. i depend on the built-in sensor cleaner.. though not sure if it's good enough..

Don't leave your camera unattended
Always be careful
Keep your camera in a dry box if it's not used
remove the batteries
Put a silicon gel in your dry box to prevent it from having fungus
Always Clean your camera before using

I only use continous shooting mode kung gusto ko lang mapakinggan  yung chak-chak-chak

I do that when I shoot like a really really fast subjects like ...like bullets.

never put OTHER stuff in your camera bag... unless may extra compartment ka.. hehe kasi may nkita ako sa multiply... ang galing.. nabasag ang bote ng pabango nya sa loob ng camera bag nya.. aun basag din ang LCD ng cam nya nabasa pa... good thing is.. mabango na camera nya.. hehe at tama si sir gainsucker.. NEVER SHOWOFF YOUR CAMERA! lalo na kung ipinagyayanbang lng ung fps nya.. i'm not saying lhat ng gumagwa nito ay showoff.. kasi meron ding photographers who are fond of shooting very fast subjects and they need those super bilis na fps to achieve their goal.. hehe.. always keep your cameras clean! dust and other foreign objects can cause fungus.. hehe kaya may drybox.. pro kung wala.. paliguan ng silica gel..

uv filter or lens hood??

alam ko magkaiba sila.. like apple and orange
ang point ko lang kung ano mas ok na pang protect ng lens from fingerprints and dust.

uv filter ang ginagamit para diyan.

ang lens hood ginagamit para maiwsan ang pagpasok ng unwanted light para ma prevent mo ang glare. like pagmarami kayong nagshoshoot na naka flash

magkano kaya budget ng palinis ng sensor and ng lens?

For photoshoots, indoor events, outdoor with no rain or not much dust.....Id prefer having the lenshood rather than a uv filter. if im going up hiking, cave trekking, or places near the beach then i usually attach a UV filter.

I just check the lens for dusts and smudges. blower brush for the dust, lenspen for the smudges.If im at home I never leave the camera in my bag. it goes straight to my dry cabinet (you can use a drybox/ DIY drybox for a cheaper alternative.)

before blowing the blower....blow it a couple of time away from the camera since sometimes dust can settle inside the blower...so rather than cleaning the dust...you add more.
