I bought the Zoom H2 yesterday and for the money, I think it is well worth it. It is very portable and light and will fit in your pocket. Sound quality is good considering it is only 199 dollars. However construction wise I don't think it would survive if it falls and hits the floor. As with most Zoom products, the H2 is made of cheap plastic. Aside from that, the recorder is easy to use and with one touch of a button you are good to record in CD quality. I use it mainly to record song ideas so I needed something that you can set up easily. Here's a sample of a recording I did late last night. This is a raw recording obtained directly from the Zoom with no post production effects.
