I'm not sure bro, he's working on a custom Rickenbacker copy now, that one night be a hollow-body, you might wanna call him if he does.

I'm not sure bro, he's working on a custom Rickenbacker copy now, that one night be a hollow-body, you might wanna call him if he does.

pag ka alam ko chambered body yung Rickenbacker copy na ginagawa nya. nabanggit nya kasi sa akin the last time na nagpunta ako sa kanya na hindi pa daw sya nagawa ng hollowed body sa ngayon.
yung Rickenbacker copy ata na yun, sa isang customer niya, dahil nadale daw sa sunog ng RJ yung guitar niya at natira lang yung mga parts kaya sya yung nagawa nung body. Yun ang pagkakakwento nya sa akin the last time I visited him.

Most of his customers kasi prefer solid  & chambered bodies.

sana nga, one more thing pala, sorry madaming tanong bakit di ko na lang tawagan hehe, does he use imported wood (maple, alder, ash etc.) o local wood lang? btw I saw deadlifted's flying V with the narra wood, ganda ng grains!

pero mostly local and exotic woods and ine-experiment niya, like acacia among others...

I think he does, it's just that, it's hard to find those woods locally.

katatapos lang ng custom guitar ko!  ito yung specs niya:

2 pc mahogany body 43 mm thickness
bookmatched narra top 4.5 mm thickness
kamagong neck! (ang kamagong pala ay ebony) 
kamagong fingerboard with LP custom style inlay
soft V shape neck (forgot the neck thickness, pero pinakapalan ko siya. the neck's thicker than my LP's)
narra veneer sa headstock with kamagong truss rod cover
BC Rich warbeast headstock!!!
kamagong back plate cover
jumbo frets
LP style machineheads
string through body
Burny VH-1 neck pickup / Dimarzio PAF Pro bridge pickup
Dunlop strap locks
natural finish

sa sound naman, grabe yung sustain nito. side by side with my 2 LP's lamang ito sa sustain. i dunno if it's becuase of the wood or dahil stringthrough or dahil kamagong yung neck niya.

unplugged, yung sound niya is a little scooped. full bass and lots of upper mids-treble. the treble malamang dahil sa neck wood at yung full bass dahil sa thick mahogany body.

plugged, the VH-1 is a perfect match as a neck pickup. fat at meaty pero articulate pa rin at hindi muddy. yung PAF Pro medyo bitin ako sa output kasi sanay ako sa hi-output pickup. at dahil maypagka-neutral sounding pickup siya, lumalabas yung pagiging natural scooped ng guitar. i might replace the bridge with a more mid heavy pickup like a Super Distortion.

magpost ulit ako ng review once na gig-test ko na ito, hehe.

nahawakan ko na yang guitarang yan kila kuya max, ang ganda. nung ginagawa palang. astig yan, sabi ni mang max, ung pagkapolish daw niyan kahit sunugin mo ng sigarilyo hindi mapapano, astig yan, ganda pre, kamagong ang buong neck. hirap daw c kuya max jan pero kuhang kuha niya pa rin ang specs sa neck, astig ganda
