ived used an ASUS laptop since 2003....brought it weekly from Manila to Isabela
by bus to my Isabela projects....no problems until this year when i replaced the
keyboard and power supply, i guess 5 years of wear and tear for a keyboard
replacement and ps is alright.
currently using a Lenovo Y410...great laptop 2 years now no problems..with
the same everyday commuting routine....no experience with Toshiba
so many gears....so little time

Toshiba na lang...ok yung service center nila.

But the HP service center in Buendia has some corrupt tech people...and I'm speaking from personal experience of bringing my laptop for diagnostics there several months ago. Other than my hard drive (which didn't have "bad sectors" during the time I brought my laptop to them but seemed to read slowly during boot up time), I was quite sure my Lithium ion battery was still charging at least 70% power and that my CPU fan was still spinning...because I was still using my laptop prior to surrendering the unit to their tech people. So they asked me to leave the unit at HP tech support for a week and a half for diagnostics purposes...several days later they've informed me that I already have a corrupted hard drive, dead Lithium battery, dead CPU fan connector. So I claimed my laptop from HP and brought it to SST laptop service/repair in SM city (since HP were asking me P21,000+ for the mainboard replacement and additional P8,000 for the original Lithium ion battery pack). It turns out my CPU fan was still in mint condition and that my HDD need to be replaced. For less than P10,000, I now have a charging Lithium ion battery (my original battery pack that was drained by HP's corrupt tech people was successfully "repacked") and a brand new seagate momentus drive...nope the CPU fan isn't dead yet and I don't need to spend P21,000 or so for a new motherboard.

Many customers have come and complained before you...2-3 years down the road when you need to bring it to HP service center in Buendia...consider this as a warning.

For other HP-service center complaints, look here (or simply just google the words: "HP s*cks"):

may same experinces din ang mga friends ko.
