Usually kasi pag showband,pare-parehas ang suot ng frontliners(uniform)which i think isa dun or dalawa di comfortable, dahil sa kinakailangan lang....

you mean naka skirt din yung male vox pag naka skirt ang female vox?

Just let your music fill the empty spaces in you. It's all you have so take advantage of it. It's a gift!

Kumbaga your band should dress up according to your music.

I'm not saying na maging sell-out kayo ha. hehe... peace men.  :-D

I've been thinking a bit, and I guess this is my take:

Clothing matters if it matters to you. However, just remember, that even if it doesn't matter to you - it matters to others, and some of them may be people who can help you get to the next level, or your next possible fan.

So, clothing is about who you really are - and what you project yourself to be, in a somewhat ironic twist.

How Important is a Musician's Attire?

long hair, tattoos, piercings, hats, caps, beard, mustache, goatee, black shirts, those leather things you put on your wrists, che guevara shirts, high-cut leather boots, bracelets, necklaces, rings, jewelry, facial paint, make-up, spiky hair, mohawk, dreadlocks, and many other such affectations...

what use or purpose do they have? are these effects really necessary for a musician? :-s o baka naman pang-porma lang?

how do you think a musician should properly appear for his or her audience?

we encourage you to share your opinions.

i think it doesn't matter how you look as long as your music is great your looks won't matter na... rockstars can wear anything they like...

- OT... i remember... yung sa tv dati i came across this show accidentally parang singing contest tapos yung judges eh tatlo parang AI... one of the judges was tim yap... then ni critisize ni tim yap yung girl sa suot niya... the girl was intimidated sa tanong ni tim yap about what she was wearing... (naka jeans and shirt lang kasi yung girl) mali kasi yung girl dapat sinabi niya rockstars can wear anything they like para walang nasabi si tim yap... kasi what she was wearing had nothing to do with the talent show... they were looking for the best singer not the best looking singer...

pag big stadiums sarap magsuot something extraordinary......to express your artistry...theatrical ang performance

sa small bars minsan dika maka all out kasi parang awkward lang minsan. depende din siguro sa personality mo.

when i play ngayun i make sure na di naman ako mukhang basahan.

For me, fashion is also art. It may be subjective and it's beauty is in the eyes of its beholder hehe. And of course there are several other factors to consider in a musician's performance like stage presence, musicality (of course), etc...

If you're a professional musician who is making money out of your music, you should look presentable, now when i say presentable, i'd say wear something that is different from your "pambahay", or "pang-malling" clothes or what not. Good example would be showbands playing locally and abroad. They can't wear something similar to their "pambahay" nakakahiya naman yun hehe.

But if you're the simple hobbyist who's playing for fun, attire isn't an issue. Do whatever you want. But then again, if you're a pro, wear something nice.

Fashion statements need not be very bongga. It must match your individual style as well as your group's music. Sandwich is a good example, simple clothing but unique.

In fashion as well as music, i guess simplicity is still beauty.

For pros, fashion must at be least 20% of your musical artistry.
For non-pros, then do what you want.

Peace!
