Sabian na B8 or Zildjian na Z3 kasi bright yung tunog nila pareho or other bright/brilliant sounding cymbal.. hope this helps.

kung brand ang tinatanong mo, any brand will do brother.


but if you're refering to a particular model/series, i guess stagg din ang i-rerecomend ko. yung brilliant na 20" SH ride.
mas ok kung may sound clip ka nung crash because staggs don't sound the same even it is the same size and model.

lahat naman ata ng cymbals different pa rin ang tunog kahit same size and model sila. it depends on you sir kung anong gusto mo sa set up mo.

tama magstagg kanalang btw my 90's planet z ride sounds better than the stagg dh 20 in ride.. kinda odd hehe hindi ko talaga trip yung ride na yun hehe mag sh kanalang

brand doesn't matter when it comes to picking cymbal... it's the sound that the cymbal makes that you must judge whether it complements or blend with the sound of your cymbal...

Kanya kanyang preference bro. follow your ears. kung ano masarap para sa iyo.

Ako gamit ko K custom medium ride para kapartner ng 16 DH exo crash at 17 DH medium crash ko. Gusto ko yun layo ng tunog nila sa isa's isa para mas marami akong sound options.

My experience on blending differenct brands of pies, goes something like this...

I had a Zildjian 18" ZHT rock crash and a Planet Z 18 CrashRide = sounded horrible.. what I did was sold the PZ cymbal and found out that Lazer was introducing the Wuhan CYmbals, so I have to try it out... It happened na binili ko yung Wuhan 17" Crash.... and when I got home and tried ot out... what do you know... blends perfectly... nagamit ko yung pair na yun for months... but I have to let em got na... upgrading mode na kasi ako... and searching for a much better sound na kasi ako.

i beg to disgree bro. baka hand made cymbals lang yung tinutukoy mo. AFAIK machine made pies are somewhat identical in sound, size and any other characters(yung weight siguro di masyado). just like zildjians, sabians, etc. (exept HH). exceptions:certain circumstances like the year a cymbal was made, and the way how the owner treats his pie etc...

First time to record the drums lined in. Ok talaga tunog ng stagg dh combined with k custom ride. I recorded it flat sa mixer with no effects to give that raw sound. Gamit ko is 17 Stagg DH medium crash, 16 DH exo medium thin crash. Hats are 14 K zildjian, 20 K custom medium ride.

Again depende pa rin sa ears mo bro kung ano type mo na tunog para sa crash mo. Pinakita ko lang tong video to give you a sound reference.

ok dyan bro yung 21" Stagg Dh Exo Ride, kung ayaw mo naman Stagg try mo mag Z custom or Z3 rides ng Zildjian.
