My snare heads combo is....

14" Evans Power Center Reverse Dot and 14" Evans Snare Side Hazy 300

remo clear cs dot (old school!) batter (tight)
fernando snareside (very tight)

remo coated ambassador batter (medium tight)
remo hazy ambassador snareside (tight)

kaso gusto ko subukan power center reverse dot... o kahit coated cs dot man lang.

Just an update on my snare drumhead setup...

*5.5"x14" Tama Starclassic Maple
Batter: Evans G1 Coated
Resonant: Evans Snare Side 300

*5"x13" Tama Artwood Maple
Batter: Evans G1 Coated
Resonant: Evans Snare Side 300

*5.5"x10" Black Panther Premium Maple
Batter: Remo Ambassador Coated
Resonant: Remo Ambassador Snare Side

My 10" Black Panther still has its stock heads.  But once they're worn out, I plan to get Evans as replacements.

For my snares, I now prefer one-ply heads over those with built-in muffling.  I want to get the most natural and most open sounds from my snare drums, and I don't want any muffling to get on the way.  I'll only use muffling when needed (like in a recording situation, for example).

remo ambassador powder coated gamit ko.. please help me..

powder coated? pininturahan?

tips lang:
1. reso head determines pitch more than batter head

#1 Tip: L-I-S-T-E-N. Wag ka magmadali, listen to your snare. ikaw at ikaw lang ang makakapagtono nyan sa gusto mo na tunog. Ganyan rin ako sa yo dati, i was always impatient tuning my kit. You have to listen to your drums to get your tone right.

Haha, good luck, taga Dagupan ako. Tonal Tuning is easy, kung may keyboard ka or anything that can generate consitent tones (elec piano, flute, etc.

Crank it up!!

thanks a lot. Keep on drumming
