every time i plug a flash drive on the usb port  while a CD is inserted on the optical drive it suddenly restart... why??? can any one have an idea whats goin on with my PC

I have a AMD athlon 64 x2 dual processor 3800
memoryt one DDR2 1gig and one DDR2 512
video card Gforce FX5500 256 mb
power supply 500 watts
all in good condish!

Try changing power supplies. If you're using a generic PSU, there hardly ever give out 500 watts.

If you are having a bluescreen... Your having a driver problem... Possible cause: you installed a program that is having a driver sharing violation... Try to restore your system... run it on safe mode try to look for a program that you installed earllier then run system restore before the time you installed the program...

If it shutsdown without any warning, you have a possible memory or board problem, try to replace the memory or board...

yes you probably right i got a powerlogic case thats already have a 500 watts power supply  maybe thats the culprit hehehe thanks ill try to change but i have to have 6000 peso in order for me to change that supply do you have any recommendation on what cheaper brands to buy its way out of my budget....thanks once again!
