Where in Singapore you can buy guitar stuffs?

Where in Singapore you can buy good guitar stuffs? Are they cheaper than Tom Lee in HK? Or there's Tom Lee in Singapore? I don't have any idea at all.

Please, post your experience and store recommendations here. A friend is going there, first time niya, papabili sana ako ng small guitar stuffs lang.

walang tom lee sa singapore. meron swee lee pero di kasing mura ng tom lee at mga 50% lang ang dami ng selections. sana nga may tom lee dito, yung ibang singaporeans pumupunta pa sa hk and china para lang magpunta sa tom lee hehe

may isang area din na puro guitar shops sa peninsula plaza, its underneath hotel peninsula, beside funan IT mall

onga. swee lee nga. pero their selection isn't that big. been there before.. hehe. medyo masikip yung store nung pumunta ako. if i remember correctly, nung time na pmunta ako, rinerenovate yung building, so baka ngyon, malaki na ang store, thus mas malaking selection.

Swee Lee has several branches, but the biggest is the main store which is far away from Orchard.  Look up the address in the telephone book. The Bras Basah store near Victoria st. is a bit small.     However, I get my strings there.  About 5 Sing each for D'Addario 9's or 10's.  They are about 150 pesos (compared to 350 here). The guitar stores underneath Peninsula/Excelsior are good for parts and used guitars.  Visit Davis Guitars for PRS, Samick, etc. and parts.  I get a lot of Grover, Schaller, Sperzels, All Parts, Gibson, SD pick ups, DR and Black Diamond strings and a lot of other stuff there.  Next to it, towards the back is another music store where they sell brand new MIJ Fenders.  Not that cheap.  A 1962 RI Strat costs about SingDollar 800.00, about 24K Pesos. 

Tom Lee is more guitars, less on parts and other stuff.  Price wise, Swee Lee and Tom Lee are almost the same.  But if you can time your visit for their sales events, you can get very good prices.  For Tom Lee, I think the time to be there is during July or August for the yearly HK sale.  For Swee Lee, they normally have this one day event where they really drop down the prices really low.  Pero pila.  You have to be in line very early in the morning.  The sale is normally announced.

There's a Swee Lee branch at Bras Basah complex on which Ranking store is.  Mas interesting ang instruments sa Ranking at mas mura.

i assume sa hk, kasi yung ibang taga sg dumadayo pa sa Tom Lee to get guitars. mas madami din kasi ang selection sa hk. pero as said above, di naman ganun kalaki ang difference

i remember when i went there several years ago marami rin akong napuntahan like the swee lee branches etc. shempre GAS wouldn't strike me for 2-3 years after that, when i would discover philmusic.. as luck would have it, even though i had like php50k in my pocket, my ignorance caused me to buy an MIC Squier Strat. it was a blem unit, priced at PHP5400-ish.

City Music sa Peace Center meron pa pala 1994-95 that time duon nga pinakmura Original tablature ng Malmsteen and VanHalen I bought 32-35sing dollar lng before that was 18pesos per 1sing dollar
