Last 2005, Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) was launched in the Philippines through RPN9 TV. The national champion competed against 30 other nations in London for the grand prize of $ 100,000.00 USD worth of cash and live promotions/recordings in UK

This 2011, Bluefish Asia Media and Events, together with Elevation Media, will once again open a wide opportunity for bands in the Philippines to be promoted around the world. GBOB IS COMING TO THE PHILIPPINES THIS 2011. WATCH OUT!

GBOB is a WORLWIDE COMPETITION OPEN TO:

- ALL BANDS (garage bands, pop bands, indie bands, girl bands, oldies bands...ALL BANDS!)
- OF ALL GENRES (rock, pop, rap, reggae, blues, classical, heavy metal, heavy reggae (X!?))
- OF ALL AGES (you might be a guitar child prodigy or a seasoned music professor, no age limit!)
- ALL ACROSS THE PHILIPPINES (elimination rounds will be conducted in 6-7 major cities in the country)

Simple rules:
1) Band should have 2-10 members only
2) Band shall perform live (with no recordings/backing track)
3) Band shall perform an original composition
4) Majority of band members should be pinoy citizens

For bands who wish to join, you can start by doing the following:

1) Join the facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Global-Battle-of-the-Bands-Philippines/170177726330650 and suggest us to your friends.
2) Go to http://gbob.com and create a band profile. Instructions are on the website
3) Then go to http://gbob.com/profile/GBOBphilippines. Once you do, click "Add as friend" so we can get in touch with you.
4) Post the link of your facebook page at the GBOB Philippines Facebook Page
