TRADED: 1970s AIMS Telecaster (MIJ, '52-style)
« on: February 11, 2016, 03:24:58 PM »

I've been working on restoring this thing, but the bills aren't paying themselves. This Telecaster was made in Japan by Kasuga Gakki (early Fender Japan supplier) for the AIMS company, the lesser known guitar manufacturing arm of Randall Amps in the States.

This guitar is yours for 10k. I like tiny vintage-style frets, but I'd suggest a refret if you want modern playability.

Here's the scoop:

New bone nut
CRL 3-way switch
Brand new 250k Alpha pots
Brand new output jack
Fender Order-Only neck pickup (Yamano, Japan)
GFS vintage Tele bridge pickup
Gotoh string trees
Standard-size Tele switch plate
Standard-size Tele bridge plate with brass saddles

The original hardware and electronics were in pretty bad shape, and a previous owner retrofitted a really badly slot brass nut. The bone nut is intentionally left a bit high for you or your luthier to file to your desired shape. Great neck and weight on this thing. I could send demos as well.

TRADE BAIT:
I prefer cash since I'm broke, but if it's something I can use and/or flip, I'll consider.
2x12 solid state guitar amps (Laney, Peavey, Fender, etc)
Two boutique fuzzes or dirt pedals (or whatever I can sell quickly)
MAYBE an offset guitar (recent Chinese Squier Jagmaster or something)

Item is in QC. Meetups wherever reasonable, but I prefer QC.
