Dry Box?
« on: October 12, 2014, 07:33:44 AM »
Lagi ko nakikita yung "Dry Box" sa mga forums then I started reading about it today. Sabi nila, advisable humidity is between 30 - 40% daw, 15% is too low which can affect the lubrication and rubbers of the camera while higher humidity will cause the formation of fungus. They use Hygrometer to monitor the humidity and some Dehumidifier (calcium chloride) or silica gel to absorb the moisture.

I'd like to try the DIY Dry Box, meron ba sa inyo naka gawa na nito? San kayo bumili ng materials? Or gumagamit ba kayo ng Dry Box? What are your thoughts about it? Is it really necessary to protect your camera?

Thank you guys!

Oo, dahil sa sa tropical country tayo. Kailangan mo talaga ng dry cabinet/dry box. Mahirap nang magka-fungus, moisture ang lens, cam.

Ako. I use a DIY dry box.

Tapos digital hygrometer. Wala akong tiawala sa analog eh. Nabili ko sila sa MRG Trading. Search mo nalang sya sa Facebook.

Oh, BTW masyadong mababa ang 30-40% relative humidity. Basahin mo manual ng camera and lenses mo.

Just plug it and wala ka nang pro-problemahin.

Eto yung dry box ko

Eto yung rechargeable dehumidifier

Wow!

Maraming salamat ulit bro! :D
