Hi guys. baka pwede nating ilagay or i-suggest dito yung mga hobby threads na nasa ibang categories (tulad ng mga nasa AGT) para ma-transfer agad dito at hindi na hanapin pang isa-isa ng mga mods. i suggest na ma-sticky rin ito.  :-)

Magic:the Gathering trading card game thread. It is located in Gaming but I noticed that the thread's description is "Whether its consoles, PC, or online gaming, it goes here!". And M:tG is not a video game (there's one but the content of the thread is about the card game). So I guess it's more suited to the newly-created Hobbies Thread.  :-)

So what do we do about sports? Hard to consider it a hobby that's why I moved the Tennis thread to kalusugan but something is nagging me about the category.

tennis is sports/health related but somewhat in between din as a hobby. if the subject focused on the sport itself, let's keep it sa KKK. if it dwells more on the hobby side of things, let's move it back here. comments?

^ i agree. magdedepende ito sa title/initial post ng thread. pag "tennis players here" ang title, pwedeng sa hobbies; or pag "tennis is a great exercise" then sa KKK category naman; or pag "2011 Wimbledon Championships" then sa AGT naman.

well sir Tennis serves a double purpose. it keeps the body fit as well as helping pass the time (hobby). but some people play tennis to keep fit, and some people play it because it has become their hobby. for me Kalusugan threads should be about illness related stuff. putting Tennis into the hobby category will allow forumites to discuss their favorite tennis players, where they play, what rackets they use, how to improve their game, etc... not merely just to keep the body fit. tennis can be discussed as a competitive and social sport(for me its social because there are tennis clubs with membership requirements).

i was thinking of putting badminton into the hobby category but since tennis is under question so i guess the same would apply to badminton. i used to play badminton in college. i didnt play just to keep fit but because i wanted to win a regional tournament. my motivation was more than just physical fitness, it was personal glory. i took pleasure in winning and playing. so kapag ganun ba ang motivation ng isang tao can we then put badminton and tennis into the hobby category?

+10 pero oks lang kung saan man malagay yun. di naman big deal yun. parang ligaw na thread lang kasi sya sa KKK. yung football at ibang mga sports nandun sa hobby.  pero korek ka sir. sa recreational sport na tulad ng tennis more on hobby talaga sya may +benefits lang talaga sa health pero di na iniisip yun ng iba i think. nageenjoy lang sila. yung iba nageenjoy sa competetive nature ng sports na to. kahit saan namang sports e.

what if CHESS? mental health naman yun so sa KKK na sya?  :-D at the same time competetive.  :-D

pero no big deal. I respect mga tao naman e. So what naman kung nalipat? oks lang kami dun.  :-D

I'm beginning to think Hobbies and Sports might be the answer, but there might be a conflict/duplication with the Kalusugan forums.

I think we should redefine the Kalusugan forums to subjects pertaining more to health while all forms of sports get moved here? Motorsports might pose a gray area. hmmmm....

I think ang main purpose ng sports ay makapaglibang.. Bale side effect na lang nya yung nagagawang mabuti sa ating kalusugan.. So for me, they fall under hobbies
