This just came in..
Orange and Lemons lead guitarist Clem Castro is officially out of the band na daw accdg to the management..
The reason for which is him not attending several gigs without notice but said that he was sick during those times..
Nakitaan din daw ng band members si clem ng sings na parang wala nang gana sa band..
Accdg to him, he's the one who founded the band and 80% of ONL's works are made by him..
I just saw this at TV Patrol.. ano masasabi nyo?? is this enough reason to get him out of the band???

“vocalist ng Orange and Lemons sinipa na sa banda”
Phenomenon ang pagsikat noon ng “Orange and Lemons” sa pagkanta nila ng “Pinoy Big Brother” theme song at iba pang hits.
Pero sa launch ng bago nilang album nitong Huwebes, tatlong miyembro na lang ang humarap sa media. Wala na ang vocalist at gitaristang si Clem.
Hindi pa man tapos ang okasyon, biglang dumating si Clem at nabalot sa tensyon ang lahat. Hindi niya matanggap ang announcement na wala na siya sa grupo.
Nagkasakit din daw si Clem kaya hindi siya nakasipot sa mga gig ng grupo.
Pinanindigan ng manager ng grupo na si Bong Baluyut na wala na si Clem sa banda at ito na ang huli niyang album sa grupo.
Habang inaayos ang mga legal at pinansyal na isyu, iginiit naman ng Universal Records na sisikapin pa rin nitong maayos ang gulo.

Orange & Lemons’ bitter parting

FAR FROM AMICABLE – It keeps on happening, one member bolting a band from one reason or the other. Rivermaya lost its "superstar," Rico Blanco, who wants to go solo. Before Rico, it was Bamboo (Mañalac) who crossed "the river of no return," now very popular. Orange & Lemons just lost Clementime Castro, vocalist and lead guitar player. But the remaining three members – Mcoy Fundales and the brothers JM and Ace del Mundo – vow to continue performing.
The parting is far from amicable… even if Mcoy, JM, and Ace initially tried to downplay Clem’s decision to leave Orange & Lemons. They said Clem called up their manager, Atty. Bong Baluyot, to say goodbye, but even before that Clem had not been joining Orange & Lemons’ gig and promo tours.

ANGRY CLEM – At the presscon of the group’s album, Universal Records’ "Moonlane Gardens" (an anagram of Orange & Lemons), only Mcoy, JM, and Ace were around – even if Clem is part of the album. But wait, I spoke (wrote) too soon. PR Ernie Pecho said that Clem just came, seething with anger, claiming he wasn’t "officially" informed about his "ouster," adding he failed to join the band’s engagements because he was sick.
Clem remained outside the conference room of Universal Towers, where the three other artists were being interviewed by the press. Ernie opted to keep them apart from each other, "Ayoko ng confrontation."

CLASH OF IDEAS – At the start of the presscon, Mcoy, JM, and Ace were conciliatory, saying they were not closing the doors to the possibility of Clem rejoining Orange & Lemons. But with Clem’s angry stance, they said "no way." Before the presscon wrapped up, Ernie read Atty. Baluyot’s statement, Clemen time Castro is officially out of Orange & Lemons, but his Universal contract still stands.
But why Clem’s confusing angry stance? The three other artists are "clueless," but they disclosed there were already clashes of ideas while doing "Moonland Gardens." Perhaps Clem wanted to go solo. In which case he should have said so, walang problema with Mcoy, JM, and Ace.
The album’s carrier single, "Ang Katulad Mong Walang Katulad," is already No. 3 on the chart after only a few weeks of release. The rest of the cuts are getting their share of airplay.

An Official Statement/US Tour
Current mood: hopeful
Dear Friends,
The recent ballyhooed misunderstanding between me and my band mates
including No Seat Affair and Universal Records has yet to reach a
conclusion.
I'm sorry if it took me a while to post anything official since I am
still trying to assess the situation and settle our differences. Time
is a very important element. I assure you that this is not a publicity
gimmick.
However, our scheduled performances in the United States will push
through and I will be joining the band on stage once more which I hope
will delight many of our fans in the West Coast.
Here are the tour schedules:
July 29 - East County Performing Arts, San Diego
August 4 - The Grove, Aneheim, Los Angeles
August 10 - Solitas Restaurant, San Francisco
August 11 - Plaza Hotel Ballroom, Las Vegas
We will be performing alongside MYMP.
Our album Moonlane Gardens is still available and I hope, despite of
the dust-up, you and your friends/family will not deprive yourselves
of that unique listening experience and pleasure one can only get from
Orange & Lemons. After all we are only but human and we do make
mistakes as well. Mistakes that are sometimes huge and there is
nothing left to do but accept, pick ourselves up, learn from it and
be a better person.
To end this I would like to share a few lines i wrote and read in the
recording of our song "Tomorrow" from the album Strike Whilst The Iron
Is Hot:
"Look into the eyes of the Present
And anticipate the jollities and challenge tomorrow could bring.
The Past is unimportant
There will be time to recall

actually sabay kami ni charles of popular days doing session work..i contributed guitar works on "salawikain", their contribution (collab with spaceflowershow) on the second apo tribute album, and the both charles and i recorded with mcoy, ace and jm on the "kiss on my list" remake on hershey's kisses compilation album =)

well, a talent like Clem doesnt deserve to be treated like a piece of s#it. i say good riddance na rin. pag di ka nirerespeto ng grupo mo, it's best to leave them, lalo na kapag alam mong sayo galing ang material.
