anyhow, i also have my eye on the d70 but darn the lenses cost a lot MORE than the body! haha.

the fz50 acts like a true dslr also, what i liked was the zoom lens 35-420mm so practically covered na yung lens requirement ko, then the lcd which swivels to let you take pictures above and under a subject w/o reclining very low as with dslr, so you are at a good vantage for correct and good composition, the manual focus has two rotating rings for control. i could not ask any better except its noise at low light situations which i hope could be addressed anytime soon, if that happens, what more could you ask?

thanks again for the appreciation  :-D

Hello Philmusic Photogs! Kinda new here and been posting in the music threads; it's only now that I saw this thread. I'm a sports photographer and part of the media entourage of the Ateneo Blue Eagles and I'm usually at the sidelines of their ballgames.

My sports photos are here. My wife and I also keep a set of our travel photos here. I keep another flickr album here for general use.

Here are some of my photos:

I absolutely love your shot of Japeth! Was this during the All-Star Slam Dunk Contest?

Too bad he's playing US Div1 NCAA now...

He would've been a monster for Ateneo if he stayed... OH well.. Sorry for the off-topic... OBF!!!!

@Dindin - yep that was his last All-star dunk contest before he flew to the US. Heard he's playing very well for WKU.

He must be using a new Canon IXUS... These cameras have a setting called 'Color Accent' that lets you choose one color that will be shown in the frame. All others are black and white...

I'm not sure if other brands have similar features... I'm also not sure if Photoshop has a plug-in or filter that prodeces the same results...

Sa Canon ko palang nakikita yung feature na yan... It also has a color swap feature... that works something like this...

You can choose one color to be swapped with any color... Doesn't work well with white, black, or shades of gray though...
Now I can't even remember the original color of his shirt... hehehe

Photo was taken by a friend using a Nikon D200 during a break from one of the rehearsals we had for a CD release party here in Ottawa.
