Sold! Thanks PhilMusic!
For sale is my Fender Japan "Clapton" Strat for 17k. It's got the following signature Clapton Strat specs, which are stock as far as I know:
- 1-pc soft V maple neck
- 22 vintage frets
- Kluson tuners
- Butterfly-style string tree on B and high E strings
- Vintage 6-point trem
- "Fender" stamped string saddles
- 1-ply 8-screw pickguard
- Lace Sensor Golds in the neck and middle positions
- Mid-boost circuit controlled by the lower tone knob
Serial number K******. I got this from PC Park Japan in Farmers last year and if I remember correctly they listed it as a STR-80. The previous owner seems to have replaced the expected Lace Sensor Gold in the bridge with a Lace Sensor Red, allowing this Strat to achieve some metal tones. It's also got the battery compartment in the back of the body, similar to the ST54-LS. Aside from replacing the strings with Elixir 9-42 Nanowebs and replacing the output jack when it disintegrated, I changed nothing when I got this as the action was already the lowest I've ever experienced on a Strat, making it very easy to shred on.
It's also for trade to a high-gain tube amp.
Signature Clapton Strat specs at a fraction of the price! What are you waiting for? Buy now!
RFS: Experimentation! Also, got a new Strat.
Meet-ups only: McKinley Hill, BGC, Glorietta/Greenbelt
