I just bought this DVD last night and I've seen it 3 times already! Sulit talaga!! This is a 3 hour 2-DVD set documenting a guitar summit that Eric Clapton organized last year (June 2004). If you like blues or blues oriented players this is a real treat... though it also has non Blues performances like Santana and Clapton playing together on "Jingo", Larry Carlton playing Steely Dan's "Josie", Steve Vai, and even John Mayer doing an excellent 6 string workout as an intro to "City Love."
There's also a great tribute to the late Stevie Ray Vaughn ("Six Strings Down") by his brother Jimmie Vaughn with Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, and Clapton. And there's this amazing young pedal steel player named Robert Randolph on stage too who will make you scratch your head wondering why you never knew a 13-string pedal steel could sound like that.
The guitar players on this DVD:
Eric Clapton
Robert Cray
Hubert Sumlin
Jimmie Vaughn
Buddy Guy
B.B. King
John Mclaughlin
Larry Carlton
Jonny Lang
David Hidalgo (Los Lobos)
Carlos Santana
John Mayer
Joe Walsh
ZZ Top (!!)
Eric Johnson
Robert Randolph
Doyle Bramhall
James Taylor (what's he doing here)
J.J. Cale (he wrote "Cocaine" and "After Midnight")
Vince Gill (some country guy, good playing though)
and more...
Also nice to see some famous supporting players like:
Billy Preston (Hammond)
Steve Gadd (drums for Clapton)
Nathan East (Bass for Clapton)
Dennis Chambers (drums - played for Santana and John McLaughlin)
Billy Sheehan (bass - with Steva Vai)
Donald Duck Dunn (bass- with Joe Walsh)
There are tons of interviews with the players and an interesting feature that allows you to skip directly to a guitar solo in a song.
I also found an easter egg on Disc 2 - from the "Extras" main menu click at a hidden third option, it wil play back a great live performance of Clapton doing "Layla".
