before anything else, i know that overrated and underrated is all relative..
but this is just my opinion so.. la lang. haha


overrated? im not sure.. hehe. ahhh, ill just say the line 6 spider 3 75watt amp. For me, it's there so you'll be familiar with the different various tones. so, i sold it and went for analog stuff. :)

underrated? hmmm, i didnt see anyone mentioning the jemini here. I love the sound.. It has really crystal clear definition for both green and red distos with the right settings. YOu can get vais sound. :) It's just amazing. haha. Gets a little noisy lang when drive is all the way up, which leads me to the next underrated pedal..

the boss ns-2. :) It's really great. haha. Keeps things sounding nice and clean. Hardly any change in tone.

Satchurator. This one's pretty good too. Much higher gain than the jemini. i love the sound when the tone's less than 10 o clock and maxed out gain.

MORLEY bad horsie!!! now this is the real screaming demon.

I think it really all boils down to a guitarist preference and taste regardless of its price tag or specs. All gears and gadgets are there to help guitar players do what they do and sound how they sound in the EASIEST possible manner. This is why it's really hard for me to say what's under-rated and over-rated.  :-)

Overrated: BOSS DS1  :roll: and the statement "ang DS1 sobrang versatile"

Underrated: Any Danelectro Coolcat Series pedal, especially the drives.  :-D

-hm2, i say it sucks big time. (MY opinion, im no pro bro)

underrated:
-dod 250 preamp (iba function ko dito, i set the gain knob at 10pm and i use the level knob as a gain tamer for a maxed out distortion after it, of course it should be used with a bypass looper. it makes the dirt super crunchy (chuggy/crunchy palmmuted) and maintains the original harmonic content of the maxed out dirt box after it)
-sir balakubak's analoh warmth delay, i acquired one from another forumite. im not a delay person, but i love this pedal. almost always on.
-boston noise gate. hahaha, a little tone suck is better than the annoying buzz and unwanted feedback (i sold mine a while back now i want one again, PM me if you're selling one :lol:)

As I was reading through the posts here, I noticed that there are a lot of fellow forumites here who claims that the MT-2 is underrated.

WTF?!

Gulat talaga ako sa comments. So naaunderestimate pala ang MT-2 by many people? Well.. TAMAD LANG KAYO MAGTIMPLA!  :lol:

So sa mga MT-2 haters jan, I'ma slap yo face wit mah pedal foo!

The Fish & Chips is underrated? I read some reviews bout this kid. Seems pretty good. Baka hindi lang kasing popular ng ibang EQs? I may be wrong.

Overrated: Locally made pedals, majority of boss pedals and mass produced pedals

Underrated: Imported Boutique Pedals, MIJ boss pedals

Yup... Thats right.  It takes a lot of time, wisdom and money to buy and keep pedals to make one realize that imported boutique pedals really are worth their dough IF YOU HAVE THE CORRECT TUBE AMP TO MATCH.  Even ZVEX though at times hard to match really delivers the goods on the right Tube Amp.

Overrated: EHX SMall clone. Ok yung full chorus type of effect nya pero I just hate the fact na isa lang ang knob. Walang level knob w/c is something I think every pedal should have. Ewan ko, napaka-narrow ng options kapag ganun.

Underrated: Ibanez SD9 Hininto yung production dahil hindi nagclick sa market when most ibanezheadz claim it's the best dirt pedal ibanez came up with! Ngayon ang daming naghahabol kaya tumaas ang value, meron nga dyan 4k lang wala pa yata kumukuha  :-D
