Drawback... the string tree placement does not allow you to do RATM's "Bullet in your Head" properly (diba Dodj? Haha).
I think you're referring to "Freedom", the part where Tom Morello plucks the strings past the nut in the headstock for that high-pitched "harp" sound. Unfortunately, the G&L has a different headstock design, string tree placed differently, and the neck is more recessed, KAYA IBA ANG NOTES PAG PLUCK DUN.

Yung Strat... parang mas trip ko pa rin ang MIJ Fender Strats. Brighter and clearer yung G&L, pero in effect parang numipis (o well, I never liked Strats anyways, haha).

My G&L S-500 is twangier in general. Must be the pickups. Not to mention that the headstocks are recessed much lower than Fenders, which explains why there is more sustain. Mine is an ash body/maple over maple neck which might be another reason for the twangier sound.
