Comments about Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Audio Interface:I am thrilled with this device--it was beautifully designed to fill its intended role perfectly. I love that it doesn't need any power outside of the USB connection--less wires, less frustration. If you have a laptop, this means you can literally record anywhere, without a power outlet. What's that? Your microphone needs 48V phantom power? Oh look, THIS THING GENERATES IT FOR YOU. As for the sound, I'm no die-hard audiophile, but I couldn't be more impressed. For recording, I use this with Reaper--setting it up was no problem. And to top it all off, the price tag is beyond reasonable. I highly recommend this product for anyone doing simple home recording on a budget.
