tried it and it is a good amp..and you maintain it like any tube amp. like any other amp, the type of cabs and tubes is all subjective so you'd have to try em all out.  :? other than that, can't really say much because the question is quite vague and really subjective. some like em, some don't and prefer the mark series or the lonestar stuff....try it out. you gettin' one?

Have no experience on personally using the Roadster but from watching clips around, I'd say it will be a very good purchase if you're into heavy modern rectified distortion.

I think Petrucci of DT uses Road Kings which I believe are the big brothers of this type.

If ever you purchase, tell us about it! :-)

still collecting funds  :-D

i "heard" about the amp here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willie_Adler#Amplifiers_.26_Cabinets

but then again, still considering some of these
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_hetfield#Amplifiers_and_cabinets

this video shows someone playing thru Boogie Triaxis with an simul-class 2-90 & Intellifex for effects.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4s5SJiBel0#movie_player

M/B triple recto w/ esp custom (he starts playing at about 1:19  :-D)

im looking for a tone that growls and is very much alive and intense, chugging is like my 2nd priority so i'm also considering seymour duncan JB model.

I think there's a psosibility that you may change your viewpoint on dirt pedals when you try this amp. There's a possibility too that your gas for high gain dirt pedals would end.

awesome. good luck. MB stuff is money well spent (I think) and the support is top notch. Among the amps listed on the link, you really can't go wrong with the Diezel or the MB for the tones yer lookin' for; all depends on preference and your budget.

Between all the heavier sounding MB models, you can pretty much nail alive and intense with varying flavors. You have the Mark series, the Dual Rectos, the Triples and a bunch of other stuff MB has released over the years. I used to have a JB and its quite the flexible pup that can do heavy stuff and smoother tones with equal finesse...Mark Morton from Lamb of God uses the JB with a Mark IV (now Mark V) a lot.

Zakk Wylde? You're looking into the wrong brand. Marshall dapat with a Wylde OD.
