What are your thoughts about this guys?  :?

masyado kasing expressive at loud ang malalaking sizes ng crashes. kung merong "fast crashes", meron din namang looooong crashes, yun yung mga 17" pataas. konek din dito yung taste ng bawat artist na gagamit, yes bbhira tlga sila, kung meron man, they're not using it bilang main crash,

Off Topic: I Love Zildjian Avedis Fast Crash 14", Parang splash na crash at sobrang bilis mag fade ng tunog!
Nakipag 69 ako and then kakatapos lang pala niyang umebs, eh hindi ko natanong sa kanya , nasabik eh, ayun pati ebs nakain ko. Hindi ko nalang sinabi sa kanya baka ma offe

unfortunately, order basis talaga kahit saan store locally. hindi kasi ganun kadami yung demand kaya hindi sila nagpapasok ng stocks sa inventory nila as compared sa normal drum heads. pwede ka mag-DIY if you're looking at doing it as an alternative option. meron si peeves ginawa way back, nasa DIY thread yung link. thanks!

the best heads in general are the ones that fit the budget IMO. you could go to JB music (maganda kung tiempohan mo kapag sale - which is almost always), then ask for Remo or Evans Heads for your snare. check mo kung ang size ng snare mo is 14" since yun ang standard size ng snare. generally, coated single ply heads ang maganda sa snare, you could change head preferences as you go on din naman eventually.  sa Remo, ask for Coated Ambassador while sa Evans, you could ask for G1 coated. Pricewise, depende yan sa promo nila at a given time, pero hindi ka naman aabutin ng malaki nun not unless kung gusto mo palitan heads ng buong set mo.

*just in case you'll ever need help eventually with tuning, head selection and everything else, here are the links for your reference. enjoy!

nakagamit ako ng hd-1 ang pangit ng kick trigger, if bibili ka niyan you might want to upgrade your kick trigger with a trigger that uses a real drum pedal

sa hoops, wala akong alam na store na nagbebenta (even lazer) maliban kay dabomb, which is custom made. sa claws naman, meron sa Lazer pati JB Music - just in case I'm correct in guessing you're looking for a Pearl type BD claw. meron ding Gibraltar variations of your preferred version if ever. cheers!

Open/Close Hi-hat with double pedal
« Reply #971 on: July 17, 2012, 01:39:38 PM »
Anyone out there that can help me out? I need your advice, suggestions, tips and other worthy ideas. And also a word for the moderator if there's a duplicate thread please be kind enough to delete this....
I am on my early stages of playing the double pedal and my problem is my hi-hat. On some part of the songs for example the verse, I need it (the hi-hat) to be air tight close and in the chorus part I need the hi-hat to be open. How on earth can I do that, especially if the verse and the chorus requires me to play double pedal? In LIVE situation, what I do is to hit the open hi-hat softly in the verse part and hit harder on the chorus part, and I think doing that just didn't cut it right and not that effective in achieving the sound I really want. Another thing is I'm worrying about our upcoming recording wherein I really want that close hi-hat sound while playing the double pedal. Sorry but having two hi-hat stand is not really an option right now, and I just can't picture myself bringing my hi-hat cymbals and an extra hi-hat stand during a gig.

Can this thing help solve my problem? And will it be advisable to bring this to gigs?
http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/product/clamp2.php?id=48&year=2012&area=4

I don't have a car so I really don't want to bring lots of things during gigs. And also bringing more gear other than my pedals will be a hassle especially if you're going home dead drunk...thanks!

Get a drop clutch to close your hihat. Pero if tightly-closed hihat sound ang gusto mo, ok yung thing sa link mo.
