Behringer MIC 200 users -- any tips?

Been recording on this unit paired with an MXL 990. I was wondering if you guys could share some of your experiences working with this preamp and how you got a good sound out of this cheap box. Thanks!
I'd rather be sharp than flat.

I've been using the MIC200 since 2007, mainly to power my condenser microphone for recording or sometimes live gigs.
I use the logic like that with a guitar amp, maintain output level at 2-3o'clock, adjust gain level from 9-11o'clock as desired. usually sets it at neutral mode, sometimes i'd change the mode according to sonic preference on what i'm recording. hardly uses the limiting and compression modes.

i like it, it's straight forward and very simple to use, very similar to the ART mini pre-amp.

Nice, thanks for the points on the settings. I'll try them out when I get home later!
