tanong ko lang po mga sir nag a-air drumming po ako eh para magpractice kahit nasa kotse ako or kahit bago ako matulog kaya lang ung mga naiisip kong bagong fills para sakin, pag dating sa actual na tugtugan hindi ko magawa ung mga naisip kong bagong beat or fills or nawawala ako sa timing, any suggestion po???
You need to, still, practice it on the actual drum kit bro. The process is called muscle memory. The muscles you use, aside from needing to build up strength, need to also familiarize what you do. Same concept sa guitar, bass, keyboard... you know what... in everything we do. Sanggol pa lang tayo we've already been doing muscle memory -- when we learned to point our fingers, when we learned to walk, etc. Even in talking we needed a lot of muscle memory to develop it. Kaya nga di madaling masanay mag-english kung panay tagalog lang sinasabi mo. Kasi may mga certain muscles tayo na nagme-memorize at nage-strengthen in speaking tagalog. Since our face is composed of millions of muscles, di lahat ng muscles nagagamit mo sa pagta-tagalog. Pagdating sa english, ibang muscles naman ang kailangang ma-strengthen at mag-memorize kaya it will take some time.
Hindi ako si Kuya Kim...
Sa pag-drums naman, may mga muscles tayong nade-develop pag nag-airdrums pero not necessarily same muscles we need sa actual kit. Kaya maganda madami ka din time practice sa actual kit. Experts say if you use up 3,000 hours of practice time (that's a little over 2 years of practice na 4 hours a day every day) in any skill, you're on your way of mastering it. Note:
On your way pa lang ha.
And I'm in no way near there though I've been drumming for more than a decade. That's because I wasn't dedicated to the skill all along.
Dito nga sa philmusic 95% of my posts are on Pro Audio stuff.
Just sharing.
