Yes.  The Digital Snake sets are ideal when you want to "expand" the number of channels say from an existing 24 channel to additional 24 channels.  You will still be needing a module or an "expansion card" that comes along with it.

Sa tingin ko, #1 ang Expression kahit magkalapit sila sa presyo, lalu na kung bago ka lang sa digital console.

1.  Very intutive ang layout ng Expression,
2.  Feature-rich (motorized / glowing faders, maraming EQ, maraming FX engine)
3.  Feature-smart (kung ipindot mo nang matagal ang SEL button, makikita mo sa screen ang specific na channel name)[/li][/list]


 Wouldn't use it in a studio, though.

Soundcrafts Si expression has the very same Function as the Si Compact series,
and their both built in "live sound/Touring in mind"

however with the help of the Expansion Slot,the flexibility are opened,.
Ex: you can add a

*MADI card for expanding the Inputs and outputs / Digital Snake/stage box / multitrack Etc etc etc

*USB/Firewire/Optical card for Studio recording/Live recording use thru Firewire you can capture 32* inputs/tracks with the help of computer base DAW

though we already own a Si Compact 24 and had a Firmware issues,but when the V2.0 firmware
came along,everything Goes Sweet 

for me Si expression is the best option

I think they have to since the Soundcraft SI2 Expression 24 channel is at 156K+ only

Anybody from each philippine dealers of the said products here...ilang units na po nabenenta ng bawat isa dito sa pilipinas since nilabas? Any figures? Di ko kayo pinagsasabong ha...its always been a healthy competition... each unit has its own merits thats tailor made for diverse applications and needs.

Bat sobrang laki ng price diff sa us and dto sa pinas? May added features ba yung nasa pinas? Yung 16.4.2 is less than $1500 only which is around P70k

so kung marked up price compare natin sa shipping cost...yung presunos nag-eroplano at yung expression si nagbarko...hehe joke lang bro:)

Both naman galing ng china(tama ba) so kung shipping cost dapat mas mahal yung sa US. At kung operational siguro naman mas mahal per hour ng tao sa tate kaysa dito. Pero ewan ko talaga maybe other forumers could explain this first hand better.

    generally speaking u.s. retail may be lower since they have a different tax system there.  here we have a 12% vat plus customs and duties and brokerage fee.

no problem, need to know also hows the sound quality compared to an analog soundcraft:)

We find the Soundcraft Si Expression digital desk slightly better sound as compared with the analogs and obviously more headroom.  We got rid of the old analog processors since you can use this directly with the powered speakers already
