Up for grabs is a Pair of Sony MDR 7506's bought directly from Amazon around September 2011 to replace my 15yr old MDR-V6's - been lightly used at home only since then and you wont need to burn them in  :-D

Serial: P-92933830-J

Original Cable was changed the day I bought them with OFC "armored" cable as I hate curly cables with a vengeance - Gold Plated Mini jack comes with a GP screw off 1/4 adaptor.

Original Sony Cable IS also included (as seen in pics not even unwrapped!). I can re-solder it at buyers request although cannot imagine why you would want to.

Ear Pads were changed to a slightly thicker pleather pad (feel kinda like the TMA pads) as the original Sony pads succumbed to the dreaded MDR leprosy syndrome within months. The new ones hold up extremely well in Philippines heat and humidity being slightly thicker material and seem just as comfortable after a short while wearing them.

Overall I'd rate them as 9/10, They have very similar sound signature to the R1's - perhaps a little more edgy on the top end - They are absolutely fantastic studio headphones, superb at revealing bad mix downs.

RFS: Been essentially using the same headphones for 17+ years and think I'm ready to try to something else.
