Our company recommends only IBM ThinkPads. Even after it has been acquired by Lenovo.
I have used IBM ThinkPad before, as issued by my previous employer, coz it was recommended by our supplier.
And got the chance to own a few, personally.
Along with a few company issued ThinkPads.
Also from my previous company, after my 1st issued ThinkPad,
the replacement was an HP, but it had terrible overheating issues.
But what can I say, it was from my company.
So, for the count, I have used...
- IBM ThinkPad R30
- HP Compaq nx6120
- Lenovo Y300 (non-thinkpad)
- IBM ThinkPad T43
- Lenovo ThinkPad R400 (personal & still running strong)
- Lenovo ThinkPad T400 (work)
For work, its the ThinkPad for me...
Its recommended & tested throughout my career, of travelling from office to site and home, along with all the handling that it has taken up.
For personal use, I would probably upgrade to Vaio S... Only until my R400 can last.
Then, a new model & brand might come into mind.
Also, its just my personal preference.
Yours could be something else.
BR & God bless
