How loud is your amp settings during gigs?

What is the ideal setting?

depends on the amp and the venue.

Loud enough to be heard over the drummer. The mix on stage sounds pretty much like the mix we get out of FOH based on the GoPro videos we take.

Not really as long as I can hear myself on the amp and monitors. It will be the soundguy who dictates the overall band sound so that is all I worry about.

We get an earful from kuya Ramil our soundguy whenever our amps are too loud coz it limits what he can do at FOH.

it depends on how loud my bandmates are. the softer they play, the lower I can set it.

As loud as I can. Either the sound guy or our vocalist tells me to keep it down or else. Usually that's my sign to lower the volume. A true guitarist insists on being the loudest in the band! Hahaha!

Pero seriously since the last puesto gig I had does not mic the guitar amp, I just turn it up just enough to hear myself and be heard. Depende talaga pag may monitors or wala.

A good guideline for me at gigs is if I can't hear the snare wires anymore, we're too loud. Articulation on the snare drum should still be very present and audible.
