this is a cheap "rough demo" to be exact of our band Radical Situation that i recorded sa bahay.
any comments , advice , or anything to say about the mixing and the song will be appreciated. THANKS!!!

you might have to carve out some frequencies from the guitars so that the vocals come out clearly. always get a good vocal track first since that is the emphasis of the song, then 'design' the instruments around the vocals.

cut holes around the eq of the instruments. using a spectrum analyzer (hard or soft) on the vocal track and figure out where it sits, particularly the frequency bands that define the vocals. then, on the instrument tracks, attenuate those frequencies. i can't give you a ballpark frequency dahil iba-iba yan depende sa singer.
ang effect niyan is, as kitc said, the vocals will come out clearly.
EDIT: mukhang maingay yung recording interface mo, the guitar track is hissing. get a decent mic preamp. or, try decreasing the guitar level sa recording interface tapos boost mo sa software. or, lunurin mo sa software reverb XD

btw wala ako ginamit na interface dyan hehe guitars straight sa m-audio transit which is not an interface sa pagkaka-alam ko hehe... research pako now pano yang tamang pag gamit ng eq -.- btw the software im using is reaper baka may maka turo dyan pano hehe ;D

m-audio transit is a recording interface.
as for reaper, try figuring it out. check if it has a mixer/console view. tapos adjust mo yung eq doon.

try to record at the loudest possible level. most hiss comes out when you raise the levels in your DAW after recording.

i thinks weird tong transit ko po kasi nung nirecord ko ang rhythm parts wala maxadong hiss. ill probably sell this sometime soon .

parang mas litaw lang ung lead parts nyan sir kasi re-do po yan ng orig na lead parts , napagsabihan kasi na lousy daw masyado.
btw sir okay lang ba ang volume nito kasi mejo mahina dito sa shop pero pag pinakikinggan ko sa bahay with my setup malakas naman ang volume napano po un?
