I have always wanted to buy an SLR (wala pang DSLR nun) when I was in college. Ang hirap kasi gumamit ng point & shoot camera noon when I shot photos of buildings & establishments (Architecture ang course ko). Then, nung nag-focus nako sa music mejo nawala na isip ko yung idea of buying a DSLR since mahal pa nga sila at that time.
Until recently, I was given a chance to buy an entry-level DSLR. After getting one, I immediately enrolled in a basic photography workshop because I wanted to learn more about the craft.
Natatawa ako sa ibang naka-DSLR. Sa tingin ko totoo yung ibang sinasabi ng iba dito na pasikat or pa-cool lang yung ibang may DSLR. Nag-punta kami sa Bohol last year and sang-damakmak ang naka DSLR dun. Pero yung iba dun makikita mo naka-sabit lang sa leeg nila yung camera hindi naman talaga kumukuha ng pictures. I tried observing some of them merong iba ni-1 beses never picked up his cam to shoot, pero he was concious enough na ayusin yung camera kasi hindi pantay sa leeg nya.
Natatawa ako sa kanila. I never take out my camera in public places, except kung may photoshoot or may assignment (takot ko lang sa holdaper).
I agree din naman na because ang daming naglabasan na murang DSLR kaya siguro yun ang binibili ng mga tao. Why get a point & shoot camera if you can get a DSLR na halos ka-presyo lang nya?
Right now, I'm selling my entry-level DSLR to buy a mid-level DSLR.
