i have a fernando zodiac..ung sa input jack nya, yong wiring don hindi shielded, causing humming sa set-up...what I did is replaced it with a shielded wire. The humming problem is addressed...same pa rin pick up nya, di ko binago...

here are the modifications i did to my Squier Vintage Mod strat so far:

1. Graphtech String Saver Saddles
2. Graphtech Black Tusq Nut
3. CTS 250k pots
4. .033uF NOS PIO cap

here are the new mods/upgrades i want:

1. Callaham trem block and saddles
2. Raw Vintage springs
3. Bone nut
4. Pickups

Installed it on my Am. Std. Strat. (block and saddles) hmmmn.....I think the effect is very minimal...the weight of the two blocks is almost identical, I believe the stock block and saddles of my strat is decent enough for me...maybe the cheaper alternatives will work out just fine if you like to replace yours...just my opinion

did you replace the nut to bone? i've read somewhere that the callaham block and saddles do sound great with a strat with bone nut.

Nope. I dunno but after I installed the Callaham parts, I said to myself.."sana pickups na lang in-upgrade ko"

...the price of Callaham parts is the same as one set of texas special pikcups...but hey, it won't hurt if you try to install callaham parts on your guitar..maybe my experience will be different to yours

I had this configuration done on my Strat a few years ago. Arie did the wiring. He mentioned it was not a hard job to do and that restoring it to the way it was will be just as easy.

Saw no reason to bring it back to how it was as the Strat now has some extra sounds that are very usable. I like what he did.

- replaced pickups with Dimarzio Evo's white, and True Velvet mid
- and the electrical mods listed below - DIY!

- this makes 11 pickup combinations
- Sperzel locking tuner two tone (just for looks and ease of changing strings)

one piece reverse big headstock neck
3 way switch (switch from les paul i think lol)
2 pickups ( bridge and neck)
pickguard removed/modified - ala frankienstrat of EVH
1 volume 1 tone control only
volume control/knob moved lower
nut changed to brass
