hmmm.. nalilito tuloy ako if pascalarize ko na gitara ko or bili muna effects or amp.. hmmm.. ano sa tingin niyo..  :?

With all due respect, bili ka muna ng amp. You'll appreciate the electric in the phrase "electric guitar" more. :D

I agree totally. assuming that you do not have an amplifier yet, its high time that you buy a diezel herbert or a bogner shiva...

....NOT!  :-D cock-a-doodle-doo!!!  :-D

Keep in mind that the amp is integral, for the electrifying experience. (i was about to type electri-FRYING, ouch!)

good luck with finding solid gear (you dont have to break your bank)
I was at Matt Umanov yesterday and tried the Diezel Herbert for almost an hour.Tried it with a LP custom and a EJ strat.Verdict?Nothing special Dudes and dudettes just the blue led lights put a strain in my cornea.Sure the gain is there and all that hoolabaloo but does it strike mah fancy?Nah aint wastin my 3k on that piece of box.Now theres this mesa stiletto deuce that i cant help but notice in the corner.I fell in love with it under 10 mins.liquidy tone than my dual recti and i can dial in a nice saturated Marshall tone all in under 1300k.Now I know what i want after i get my tax refund heehaw.Lesson of the day/life?Close your eyes and use yer ears,OCB with gear will get u nowhere.Sorry for the OT anyway BAMF nag pabili na ako ng 2 scalarangilactilizer kay BALDO.Mabuhay ang pinoy!

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!  :-)

just like the principle with the bakemono (max hasn't replied to my review of the bakemono vs keeley ds ultra)

close your eyes, turn the knobs.

the truth is clearer with your eyes shut.

I have a keeley modded ds-1 and i like it(if i like it why is under my bed collecting dust?) but if the bakemono sounds better, bring it on brutha!

Mmm...why ? :D

Then what's keeping you from going to the BAMFX Tone Tambayan? If you want to know what it does, listen to it. If you base your purchase decisions solely on recommendations, I don't think you're behaving like an intelligent consumer. Plus, language can be  incomplete and inefficient when describing some things so I really recommend that you skip listening to people's adjectives and just bring your guitar to the shop. If it works for you, it works. If it doesn't, at least you know it doesn't.

I agree with Titser_Marco, don't base your purchases not because someone says it good. Try it our for yourself. He did, and he was happy with. I suggest you do the same. If your friends with Greg/Carabao and Balta and live near the Commonwealth area, I can demo my strat, I'm at your disposal, you can drop by my house anytime to try it. For a much convincing feel, you can drop by anytime at our main laboratory where we simulate other uses of the scalarizer on almost all instruments.

Titser_Marco is a formidable player and his tastes for music is somewhat very eclectic. Pihikan sya in terms of tone. For him, if it sounds good, he'd definitely try it out. He was amazed at the results and I was amazed at his ways of playing the instrument. Somehow I get the feeling that he was responsible for making me listen to Neil Young.

You can PM me anytime if you wish to try it out. I'm residing in Commonwealth Hobart Homes.

I'm not "pihikan". I just live by a single sentence: "Whatever works, works."

To everyone who's wondering about the device, I say this again: TRY IT OUT so you can make a decision for yourself.  When the Diezel issue was hot, I decided to drop by at Arie's place to test drive the amp. Liked some parts of it, didn't like some - at least after a few minutes of playing around with it. Alex knows this and I'm sure all of us will agree in saying that I can say that the DH works for me in some aspects and my statements stand  on fairly good ground because of first-hand experience. Did the same for BAMF's modded Boston HM100 and Big Muff Clone and made judgments for myself. (Although I still have to try out the Big Muff Clone in a relatively open space - that one is a loud son of a bitch.)

Same logic for the scalarizer. I tried it with a solid-state amp, and it was ok. the changes were subtle but you know something happened. I can't really lay my finger on what changed, but something did change.

When I got home, I tried the sucker with an SF Bassman Ten. The difference between pre- and post-scalarizer installation was more pronounced, although I still can't identify what changed. It sounds more pleasing, it's more responsive and it's not as ear fatiguing at high volumes (10 on the channel volume and 5 on the master).

So let's all go to the Tone Tambayan on Saturday and we can all be friends. :)
I'd rather be sharp than flat.

Masters I have a question, I have an Ibanez RG7321 with stock pickups, IMO the pickups lack output and clarity (I play old school metal) and the low B sounds really muddy. I'm curious about the metal scalarizer, I'm fan of boosted mids and I despise the "scooped sound", will the scalarizer stop my woes or changing the pickups is the only way to go? I'm intrigued with the Dimarzio D activator 7 and planning to buy both the neck and bridge versions once the pickups become available.

best way is still to try it. :D

boss BAMF, do you have available stock for the acoustalizer (tama ba?). myt go there maybe next week and have my 12 strings go for the run medyo middy kasi. although many of us wood has a factor, i'd still like to try it baka magkaroon ng positive results.

Is there anyone installing these items in the Pasig, San Juan, Mandaluyong or Cubao areas?

Thanks.

the sto. domingo bamfx shop is close to cubao. down e.rod towards welcome rotonda, hit quezon ave towards fairview, you'll find the sto. domingo church. we're located along sto. domingo ave.

kung san juan, araneta ave is the best bet.

Thanks so much!
BTW--my apologies if this has been replied to before but would you guys have a fixed schedule as to when you are in the shop? Just asking as I'll be coming from a long way off and it woould be great to be able to met up with you and BAMF personally.

Thanks again!
Singapore Tours start at US$ 130 per person
for 3 Days and 2 Nights until Dec. 2013.  Hong-Kong Tours start at US$98 per person. PM me please. =)

Good Lordy !

Nangatog tuhod ko sa ganda ng Elegee custom mo bro. Parang nangilid ata ang luha ko sa mata when I saw and played it.

YAN ANG SULIT ! I wouldnt mind pawning my car just to get one of those...

Nice to meet you bro. I'll see you one time at Elegee's shop. Its so darn close pala to where I live. Oh...and I have a couple of guitars that could use the magic touch as well (needs truss rod installation).

Got my other guitar scalarized this afternoon. It was great meeting bluejem, edge of illusion and jet? (sorry forgot...my bad). got the metal core, fits well with my guitar.

bluejem - don't forget to to post the pic. :-D

I had my Elegee custom guitar equiped with crystal Scalarizer too and it sounded a lot better.
Nice meeting you to bro.I will post the pics later bro(madyo antok na ako e).or maybe I`ll put up a new scalarizer thread with all the pics taken when we had our axes scalarized. :-D

we just started laughing, sabi pa ni bamf quote unquote "O, kailangan ba ihinang yan?, hindi diba?!!" tapos nag aayuda siya. UH UH UH!!!! hahaha!!! :-D

Wag kayong maniwala sa pinagsasasabi ni phoenix_rising. Placebo effect lang yang nangyari. Hindi nag-improve ang tunog dahil sa scalarizer. Yung ayuda ang sikreto dyan!  :-D

Nyayon ko lang narinig ang sound clip ni Kulas. Interesting pseudo-spatial effect, like a phantom player ghosting the notes ever-so-subtly. Personally speaking, though, based on the clip I'd prefer having it is as a switchable/dial-in-able effect rather than as my stock sound. Maybe a live audition would change my mind. Pag sinipag  :-)

pwede sau pare ang metal core scalarizer. If ur the type who likes distortion smooth creamy and agressive, the metal is the way to go
