Review of the JTS UT-16GT wireless system
« on: June 23, 2010, 04:54:46 PM »
my facebook pals have probably seen this clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JcuK5KRhKY

I've been playing around with this system for some time. No bias, it's good.

PROS:
-doesn't suck tone
-no latency ( except when you're about 200 meters away, but that's ridiculous  )
-it's clear till around 90 - 100 meters. (60m is the indicated range in the manual)
-the transmitter's connector/plug swivels to adapt to different guitar output jack placements (ex. Strat, Les Paul, Ibanez JS)
-no belt pack needed
- detachable suction cup does the job of keeping the transmitter in place
-16 frequency channels give you more options, thus, better interference prevention

CONS:
-the receiver has the width of two Boss pedal boxes (or a large Cattleya filler notebook). If you have enough room in your pedal board, then good.  :-D
-the receiver is housed in plastic, so extra ingat lang when transporting

anyway, details are here:
http://www.jts.com.tw/_english/02_products/03_detail.php?MainID=58&SID=59&ID=233

I realized that it's fun to play with a wireless system. Isipin ko na lang, si Angus ako.

shades yung nagdala dun. i heard longer transmission distances can be achieved by wearing kick-ass shades, helps in propagation of wireless signals. :-D
