Sanitizing Saxophones
« on: May 03, 2009, 11:00:56 PM »
Bear with me :-D.  I want to learn how to play an alto saxophone and am thinking of buying one.

I've seen some of the threads here and also read the comments on China made sax.  But due to budgetary constraint am thinking of getting a second hand US, European or Japanese brand instead.

Correct me if I am wrong.  I have this impression that second/third hand units must be sanitized first.  Maybe you also have a home remedy on how to sanitize saxophones that you can share.

I've already briefly talked to Mang Pany (nagtanong lang po muna ng units at presyo para may idea ako kung magkano), but have not asked on sax sanitization.  Has anybody mentioned or requested a 'sanitized sax' from Mang Pany before getting the unit?  o baka naman standard operating procedure na yon.

Maraming salamat po!!!

I'm pretty sure others have done a different approach....  :-D

Any more suggestions from those who already bought a second hand saxophone???   :-)
