1. no Breads, no Rice = ulam lang lahat, kahit maraming ulam basta no rice

2. you can eat all foodz with little carbs, biskwit, chocol8, etc. just not the two           there^^

3. its effective without exercise like what I did, but not recommended

4. you can eat na ng main CARBS if nakuha mu na ung gusto mung weight.
I also did something similar before out of desperation to lose weight. For one whole year, I just ate wheat bread and soup for breakfast and grilled fish for dinner. I rarely had lunch back then. If ever I did it would be fruits.

Yes I lost weight but I became too weak and I couldn't really keep the weight off.

By the way here are some feedback:

1. If you eat fatty viands, then you'll get fat even without carbs. Carbs don't make you fat if you take in just enough for your level of activity.

2. I'd rather eat real food than settle for cookies and chocolate, which by the way has their fair share of fat and calories (and at times, preservatives).

3. +1

4. By undergoing this diet, you just killed your metabolism, which means that when you return to normal eating, you'll regain fat easily. Then you'll get more frustrated.

Keep in mind that slow metabolism is your real enemy. You'd want to increase it so you can eat normally without worrying about getting fat.

In the end, it still boils down to exercise and eating right. There are really no shortcuts. :-)

muscletech's hydroxycut hardcore and vitrix's lipo-6 are good fat burners.

okay... i've read this thread and here are some advice from a licensed professional...

the best way to lose weight is to really control what you eat... i'm not saying that you should refrain from eating a single type of food like rice, just the opposite...

variety and moderation is key to a healthy diet... the Philippine food pyramid guide is the best reference about your diet...

to explain the food pyramid, the base of the pyramid is what you should consume the most.

so the base of the pyramid is usually water normally we would need 8-10 glasses of water, but recent studies have shown that we need more... so the recommended water intak is now 10-13 glasses of water a day...

on top of water, the next food group that we should eat more of are the carbs, rice, grains, breads, tubers cereals, etc... whole grains are best since the bran is still intact and the bran contains a lot of nutrients. another good thing about whole grains is the fiber... as you probably know, fiber helps keep our body healthy.

on top of carbs are fruits and vegetables... you should eat at least three servings of fruits daily and at least 1 and a half cup of vegetables. this should meet your vitamin and mineral requirements.

next on the list are the meats and dairy... a glass of milk a day, preferably low or non fat, will meet the calcium requirements of the body. another good thing about milk is that studies have shown that adequate calcium intake helps in weight management since calcium blocks the absorption of fats... about the meats, just remove the visible fats and you should be okay...

the tip of the pyramid, meaning you should limit these foods are sugars, fats and oils... so if you want a soda, go for the light or diet ones... and avoid fried foods from now on... mayonnaise, butter, margarine, sandwich spreads, these are considered as fats... so cut down on these foods...

here's a tip... VOLUMETRICs

look at the caloric density of foods you can eat a ot of the less calorie dense foods like fruits and vegetables... lets see, a cup of vegetables only gives you about 32 calories... a cup of rice 200 calories... so you can eat about 6-7 cups of vegetables (minus the dressing) before you get the same amount of calories from rice...

and another thing... DON'T EVER SKIP MEALS!!!

if you skip meals, the body tends to adapt itself to these periods of starvation, meaning once you resume your normal diet, your body will store most of the food you eat in order to prepare for future periods of starvation meaning it will make you fat...

and EXERCISE IS KEY!!! raising your metabolism through aerobic exercise will greatly affect how much weight you lose.. also you need weight training to strengthen and increase muscle mass... more muscle mass means more calories burned even while resting...

for those going to the gym and still wondering why they lose weight at such a slow pace, its because muscles weigh twice as much as fat... so lets say a cube of muscle measuring an inch all sides compared to a cube of fat with the same measurements, the muscle will be heavier than the fat... so don't despair... use the tape measure instead of the weighing scale...

for more questions... just pm me...

always remember muscle is heavier than fats. gaining muscle helps burn fat.

1 lb. of muscle burns 50 calories. continue what you'er doing. all you need is a little love and support. ganyan talaga. dapat handa kayo, mentally, physically and emotionally.

its never easy.

@meotron - I suggest eating a sensible size dinner. minimal carb intake, lots of protein and fiber with a helping of fruit and veggies.

before you sleep and you still feel hungry, drink milk. I suggest a glass of 2% fat or skim milk. yoghurt is also good.

hmmm... dinner... the easiest thing to do is to halve everything you eat... so eat half of what you usually eat... just make sure that you follow what the body needs... your total calories should be 60% carbs, 15% protein and 25% fats... now many of you will react to this saying, "WHY THE HELL DOES FATS HAVE A BIG PERCENTAGE OF MY TOTAL CALORIES?" well... a gram of fat contains 9 calories while a gram of either carbs or proteins contain only 4 calories... so do the math... you still end up eating less fat...

FIBER: its a type of carbohydrate just to clear things up...

if you don't want to do that, then you can follow VOLUMETRICS.  its a known fact that different foods have different calorie densities... for example... a cup of raw vegetables especially the leafy vegetables only give about 3 grams of carbs and a gram of protein and 0 grams fat, for a total of  16 calories (if cooked, multiply by two)... while the same cup of rice gives you 46 grams carbs and 4 grams protein and negligible fat. for a total of 200 calories...  so a cup of rice is equivalent to 4 cups of vegetables in calories.  now the thing with VOLUMETRICS is to eat those foods with low calorie density. vegetables and fruits, provided you don't go overboard with dressings, dips, sauces, etc...

PM me if you have any more questions...

I've been working out since 2002 sa bahay lng ang nangyari eh wla namang magandang result. 4 months ago eh, i decided to try to hit the gym. I was 75kg then and i'm only 5'3. i was overweight and nakaumbok ung tyan ko. I'm still working out at least 4-5 times a week. and I also take whey protein isolate para maglabasan ang mga muscles and now i can see the result, better body shape and im now 68 kg. i also cut my sugar intake and softdrinks and always have quacker oats for breakfast. sarap ng feeling, nakakapag suot na ako ng mga body fit na shirt.  :-D
