wooohooo! i just got myself a digitech HOT ROD! i was initailly planning on getting a HOT HEAD because i'm starting to miss the DS1 type sound. And for 2.5k for a Bnew HOT HEAD ok talaga. i tried the HOT HEAD last night and ganda nang tunog. Pero  Kaninang lunch dinala ko yung SD2 ko to A/B it with the HOT HEAD. Walangya potsu pala sya sa SD2! :lol:  so iwas gastos na sana ako.

Pero since dala ko na yung SD2 at may HOTROD sila i A/B'ed them as well. I tried them alternately for like an hour. With a mindset na since Digital itong HOT ROD malamang di ko magugustuhan. I just wanted to compare it with the SD2.

OMG! surprisingly mas transparent ang tunog nung HOT ROD! and mas tahimik! Although mas may drive ang SD2 lead channel.  Mas defined ang single notes mo with the HOT ROD!

dati di ko pinapansin tong Dist na to dahil Digital sya. Ayan nung nasubukan napabili tuloy. haaaay :lol:

Checked out the GNX3000 at AP. The effects were great, but what i really liked were the rhythm tracks. Outstanding for practice. Hope Digitech comes out with a dedicated unit.

I ordered an EX-7 last month from MF..and it would not turn on. bad pedal or bad power supply (and bad switch, what the internet guys told me after checking the pedal)...so I ordered at the local store..like it because it features a good line of expression effects.., well may high reviews din sha sa mga guitar mags and well-recommended dahil realistic yug sound, hindi tunog processed..2 weeks after having it in my chain, I noticed difference in my tone,loss of highs and mids especially sa OD/DS side, i tried taking out the EX-7 out from the chain since that was the last thing I added, and pooooof! there you go, the warmth and dynamics from my tonebone is back..so I packed it and brought it back to the store. I like the vox wah and the whammy. and true it doesn't sound processed..excellent pedal if you dont mind the loss of tone i experienced.

good pedal, great effects, just not true bypass..i wish it was..

I used to have Digitech GNX1.. oks naman siya pero di ko lang masyado na trip-an yung distortion nya... di ganon kabigat para sakin.... although you can get a heavy metal tone out of it.. processed na processed ang dating ng tone. Overall.. Its still an awesome unit. Digital effects are great!

mga bossing, since na mentioned ni sir taoist yung power consumption, has anyone here 3 or more x-series in their chain? whats your AC/DC adaptor mA rating? considering a 350mA to 500mA yung adaptor do you experience hums kapag na "on" lahat nung stomps? :D

after a few days i returned the HOT ROD and got the HOT HEAD. Somehow the HOT ROD felt too clean...too digital ....ewan ko ba basta it didn't feel right after a while. the HOT  HEAD is a Good version of a DS1.
May bass control pa.  

since mahal kuha ko sa HOT ROD (4k plus) at mura lang ang HOT HEAD i got another klotz cable para umabot yung exchange sa Audiophile. :wink:

winner yan pare.. na-try ko rin yang cascade na yan for a couple of days. halos pareho ng TS-808 >> Distortion+ cascade ko, bright pero rinig din ang low end. meron akong Eric Johnson tone mix sa cascade na yan! halos katunog talaga, lagyan lang ng delay after the Distortion+ :)

uhmm.. how bout digidelay? bka un ang hanap mo.. or modulation like chorus or phaser.. hehe..

ok ung hot head.. i own one (thanks kay hamsterjamster) versatile siya ata compare with ds-1 dahil sa bass knob.. hehe.. pero sa sabi taas mas transparent daw ung hotrod.. hehe duno lang.. havnt tried.. :D

i initially bought the HOT ROD and returned it after i tried it sa jamming. it's very good for a digital pedal. but somehow it didn't feel right. I returned it and got the HOT HEAD instead. sa akin lang naman yun.

and tama si ritch_079 it's a DS1 sound na mas mabilis lang yung garalgal nya(hard to explain) and may bass control. and i think mas may control ka sa drive knob nya.  :wink:

yup.. ds-1 na may bass control e.. somehow i feel na mas ok ung separate bass and treble, mas versatile.. kasi parang kina-cut lng ng tone ung treble and not boosting the bass..
so ung hot head pwde pang "chug..chug" and pwde rn pang lead kpag treble naman nkataas..
yup, ung hotrod digital.. feeling ko parnag tone driver.. morph knob kasi ng tonedriver either transparent, bilog or matapang.. (namely dod 250, ts-9, ts-808).. and bka ganun dn nagagawa ng morph ng hotrod.. hehe.. un lang.. :D

ahh.. icic.. ndi ganun ka ok ung delay pag sa rythm e... mdyo kumakalat na.. hmm, how bout reverb?? hehe
..kala ko kasi pang lead set-up e..hehe ..or modulation? para kunwari bridge ng kanta (ung mahina na part) pwde ka nka-chorus.. hehe.. pero pag may reverb kna, kakapal narn tunog mo e.. hehe.. reverb nalng ng amp.. pwde na.. hehe

sulit cya sa price.. upto 4 sec na delay. at may tape delay and tap tempo.. tpos may modulation delay.. chorus-y sound, kaya u wont be needng chorus na kng nka mod delay.. hehe.. matibay and reliable..
