#1 Fender Jaguar ('99) - Crafted in Japan
#2 Squier Super Sonic - Vista Series('97) - Crafted in Japan
#3 Fender Toronado GT HH ('05) - Made in Korea
I really love the finish on the Japanese necks. The Jaguar was restored with the classic upper control assembly because I bought it with a modified toggle switch(hence bought it cheaper) on the upper horn area. I had it restored through Guitar Hospital(Sir Arie). It has that more feminine tone and produces some weird noises and feedback probably due to these single coils on it. I love using this on the cleaner and softer sounds and is aesthetically the prettiest among the 3 guitars. It's good for the delay/reverb-y sounds(shugeeezzzzing). The Super Sonic has that unique & attractive blue sparkle finish and it looks very Japanese with this finish(the finish is somewhat similar to Flea's Modulus Bass IMHO). The body also feels and looks smaller. Many believed that it is just a reverse version of a jag/jazzy body but it's not. It has that natural heavy tone having these stock humbuckers(SD Designed - I think it's made in South Korea). It's also thick and blends well with distortion. I love using this for garage/post-hardcore stuff. The Toronado(d' metulz guitar) has surprisingly the best tone for me because of the stock Seymour Duncan pickups('59 in the neck and Pearly Gates at the bridge). This guitar is closest to the Gibson tone. Its sound is ideal for heavier power chord riffing and shredding stuff. It is also literally the heaviest among the three in terms of weight due to the mahogany body(that's in my opinion). I'm so tempted to modify the guitar because I'm not that contented with the neck's finish and the abalone inlays suck(looks a cheapskate with this) The Korean construction is also okay but the materials and components used look really cheap. The Super Sonic and the Toronado's discontinued.
Now the tricky part: How I got these? No I didn't get these for free
