Ang pinaka-dream ko lang talaga as a drummer is to have a son or daughter that in the future would be a drummer just like me... I just want him/her to reach what I won't be able to reach anymore... (considering the fact that I chose Architecture and Urban Planning as a career path, mahirap pagsabayin eh...) Alam niyo un? ung feeling na pag napanood ko ung anak ko malupit pumalo masasabi ko... "ehehehe... anak ko yan! malupet pa yan sakin! nyahahahaha!" ayun... pero hindi rin sure na magkakatotoo un.. .sana lang... syempre I don't want to pressure my offspring to become what I want them to be.. right? ayun... pero 10 years from now? hmmmm... by that time nasa Canada na siguro ako... (my girlfriend lives there... which means I have to go there! ehehehe)... siguro Urban Planner ako in the morning and Musician by night... I guess I'll be playing with foreigners then ahahahaha... I wonder how that feels?... hmmmm.....

well the title "product head of pearl drums" is not with me anymore but im living a much happier drummig life right now..my drum teaching makes me fulfilled everyday...im more active now with the drumming community..

..and im back playing for a band again hehe..cheers

Its almost a year since I made my first statement here.

Im glad to say that things are going pretty well these days. My old bandmates and I made it a point to jam in our house everytime I'd go back to Philippines.

Actually I did a session with some of my friend musicians somewhere in Marikina during my previous vacation. Enjoy naman kahit show band ang dating namin; something I've never done before!

We're planning to make original songs again someday, or do some jazz-type thing then record them for posterity.

My long term goal as a drummer / musician is to have an album.

Pero kung wala talagang break, at least i have a studio recorded album to show my future kids that i was a passionate musician who was determined to make it but fate did not let me.

Sa ngayon, medyo dormant mode na naman kami dahil sa mga work. Hopefully sana matupad itong goal ko.

Pero regarding sa pinaka-unang goal ko as a musician nung high school ako, i've accomplished na. Simple lang naman yun eh, to be recognized as one of the top bands here in our city. next step naman ngayon hihihihi....

ang aking Long Term goal ay simple lang..

ang goal ko as a drummer ay to be simply happy. tama na sa aken yung nakakapalo ako ng maayos everyday at nakakagamit ako ng decent kit. hindi ko na papangaraping maging portnoy ng pinas..kasi hindi ko naman talaga kaya ee..haha..jowk lang..

seriously: tama na sa akin yung nandjan yung mga mahal ko sa buhay at ang aking drumkit at kasi, for me, wala naman sa popularity yung drumming eh..ang sa akin, basta nakakapalo lang ako ng maayos, masayang masaya na ako dun..

to keep on playing for fun and to keep separate of the business end of music as much as possible. i want to do music on the side and just dabble in it as an outlet for expression. collabs, EPs and session stuff is enough of a music fix for me and i have no need or desire to take it further. i've toured, gigged and experienced what it is like to be a musician on the road and I didn't like it very much. I like calling my own shots when it comes to recording, playing gigs and jamming so I hope to keep on maintaining my studio for personal work years down the line.

kahit siguro makagawa lang ako ng solo album kahit demo lang that will show how much i can do on the drums ayos na sa kin. i don't know when i can do that and get enough inspiration and money for it yet it's nice to have a little goal.

as for now i just enjoy teaching drums and playing it.

ang goal ko is "to become respected as a musician", un lang tsaka makatugtog sa house of blues tsaka sa reading festival.. hehe
