Title: can windows media player lower bitrate of wma or mp3s?

win media player can only lower bit rate if im copying or ripping a cd.
but what if the music is in harddisk already, how do i lower bitrate?
i need lower than 48kbps so i can stream fast on my site

You'll need to use an external utility for that but there are a lot out there. I use Blaze Media Pro for creating WMAs for streaming. Google it up.

bro you need to use sound editing software such as soundforge or adobe audition. actually theres a lot of software out there that you can use  :D

use musicmatch 8 - it has a converter of kbps.. and the best thing is you dont have to convert it one by one... pwedeng isang pasadahan lang sa buong albums or folder.

if you want to go legit and not spend on software, download LAME and a frontend like razorlame. this is for compression using the mp3 format.
