pero ivote for tunay..base on the neck..not so sure though.. :?

kung sa neck ako mag babase oo same talaga sya ng sa ovation, tuning pegs? maybe pinalitan na sya ng previous owner or what? kahapon ko lang nakuha to,, kaya di ako yung frist owner para malaman kung tunay nga o hindi ito hehe.. pero iba kasi yung touch nya sa ibang guitara na nahawakan ko.. parang hindi sya gawang lumanog or what eh :evil:
regarding dun sa email.. wait ko muna response ng ibang forumate natin ah.. baka kasi alam nila eh sayang :wink:

Can't be the basis to know if fake or not. Ovation comes in three levels of bowl depths: shallow, mid-depth and deep.
Pero sa tingin ko sir imitation ito kasi the logo is in all caps.

ganda kasi ng kahoy nya eh.. may trust rod pa.. owyeah konting make over lang hehe or malaking make over pala :-D
kung mamahalin papa luthier ko sana eh copy ok na ako mag practice dito.. just bought a hundreds lang naman a good buy na.. :-P :wink: :-D

I think it's a fake sir. The tuning pegs give it away like the generic Raon copies they did in the early 90's. The logo is another clue, they are not the usual font used by Ovation even in their 1970 electric guitar lines. The Logo that we see today has changed a little form the guitars they did in the 70's.

hehe.. walang strings eh.. baka kajon ang gamit, kaya mejo basag din yung likod.. hehe..
joke lang.. pero mukhang hindi lang major cosmetic restoration ang kailangan niyan.. the neck joint part looks like it snapped twice in two different parts.. mahirap yan..
fret condition is another thing to consider.. baks sobrang pudpod na.. then yung machine heads, parang bali na yung low E na post.. tsk tsk..

150 bucks? If it aint broke and cosmetics is just the issue just leave it as it is. Buy strings na lang and you have a barkada guitar for inuman sessions!

tama... bili na lang ng bago.
& yes, there are some fake ovation acoustics out there.
Luckily, you can really distinguish the fake from the real ones. (paintjob, tuners, decal, binding, overall quality)

nagmamasilya na ako not into shape perfect and for the cosmetics issues hindi siguro talaga lahat makukuha..
pero if working and nasa tono naman and nagigitara pa(well) hahaha oo game na ako dito..
150php+pagod+stickwel+strings+some materilas+ paint= experience that i can apply in the future hahaha :-D

i'm not arguing on the guitar being orig or fake.. it looks fake..
pero, meron din naman yata bro na mga ovation na may truss rod cover at nandun yung truss rod nut sa headstock..

It doesn't look fake because it is FAKE, bro. Hindi pa kasi ako nakakita ng ovation na may truss rod cover generally kasi nasa guitar hole ang truss rod nut. Anyway, another learning for me kung may ovation guitars na may truss rod cover. Thanks bro.

i use patching compound para mas matipid at mas madali gamitin.. post ko din dito after ko matapos :wink:

IMO, the question is.. even if you do get to restore it... how good will it sound? baka much better na ipunin mo na lang yung pampagawa at bumili ka na lang ng bago.....

Langya ang daming murang gitara diyan sa JB acoustic 600 pesos lang napakamura kahapon lang bumili ka tropa ko, kung ako sa iyo yung pangpaayus mo dagdagan mo nalang may brandnew na acoustic kana, pahirapan mopa sarili mo kakamasilya :lol:
