Mapa drums, bass, vocalist etc..
im so happy because today i found my friends

so far I have played with 3 types of bass players:

cons - masyadong monotonous, madaling maka-sawa

pros - challenging. for a drummer, it translates to giving you more chance to improve your craft.
gives you a chance to be more creative and improvisational.

cons - MAHIRAP SILANG HANAPIN....  :-D :)

One is a church bassist, 2nd is a member ng Tau Gamma Phi & 3rd was a in a show band... :-D

cons - MAHIRAP SILANG HANAPIN....  :-D :)

I don't literally agree na mahirap silang hanapin, though bihira nga ako tumugtog so I can't fully disagree din...

From the places (and backgrounds) na nakahanap ako ng bassist, I think nasa discipline parin talaga... :-D

I'm not a drummer nor a bass player.  :-D

Just remembered that there was a time when our bass player can not come so he volunteered someone to replace him in our practice. He was darn good unfortunately our drummer approached me the exact word "may sariling mundo".  Upon realizing he was a bit out of timing due to the fancy stuffs that he wants to incorporate in one jam. Don't get me wrong in not wanting a good bass player in a band but his approach is so wrong like he intended to Show off with a lightning fast slapping technique which is not appropriate in the Jam.

After the Jam we were shocked when he even explained his style. He believe that bass player, as the backbone of the band, should be independent from the music played so that they would get noticed. Apologies if others have the same beliefs but for us, making music is interacting with every member with the band and not striving hard to be above others.

We did not regret this incident as we have also learned on how to adjust in such approached. The succeeding jams with him was not that aggressive so we figured out maybe he was just showing off the first time.

Thanks.
