Im just wondering if I can turn my laptop into a mixer/effects processor by plugging my ekit onto it either by the standard mini jack or usb port.

gusto mo ba real time yung application ng effects dun sa audio signal or pwedeng post processing na lang? Normally ang ginagawa ko eh post processing na lang apply yung effects using audacity.

kung gusto mo real time, you might want to consider using midi tapos using another software like ezdrummer, dfh, superior drums or the likes...

realtime encoding sana bro. =)  so kung midi setup, kelangan ko pa ng midi cable right?
